Jesus you people are stupid theres been like 6 million threads

20p's with no date are worth £50 end of!
#3
i think someone got caught up in the 20p missing date farce and thought they could buy this cheap, n sell on
the date is clearly there, n unless im wrong its in the correct place!

The 2008 20 pence piece normally has a different design - this is sporting the older 'tudor crest', making it a collectable.

Maybe check the Wiki : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_20_Pence_Coin

# 2008 ~ 11,900,000 (William Gardner design)
# 2008 ~ 81,920,000 (New Matthew Dent design)

Therefore, of 93.82 million 20p's made in 2008, 11.9million are different. For a coin collecter, this is worth a few bob.

i clearly did read teh text, hence why i knew about the item, but something that is over 10% avail doesnt really seem to be worth £50.

If you're a coin collector, it's probably worth money to you...

HOWEVER...

Yes, looking at it, some people are cashing in on the newer 20p without a date. (apologies to all!) Anyone got a bunch of 20s handy to see if they want to make a few quid ?
#14
It's not worth £50, just someone trying it on during the great UK 20p hunt. Some buyers are clearly stupid.
#15
Oh well, not like I've got any, was just wondering if they were rare aswell.

Great to see loads of muppets selling the standard new design 20p's describing the coin to have no date on the tails side

To all the unlucky 20p owners with not even one rare coin

Why not make a good wage by selling off your old ones?

lol - I'm constantly amazed at how totally stupid eBay purchasers are - I can see a lot of people trying to claw their money back through Payal when they realise just how stupid they are - things are so slanted against the seller now I can see them getting paid back..

yeah - the buyer is gonna feel a right muppet and wont be able to claim

loads of people selling normal 20p pieces for up to £50 each

I suspect the one that sold for £5800 was a wind-up by two buyers who are mates.

if I had no scruples, I'd be on that bandwagon.

just cant bring myself to do it :-D
