sounds a fair deal, not a hot one in my opinion

my studio from there was cheaper, but that took a wk of looking and the use of a voucher

I think relative to brand new prices for same/similar spec they are good deals.
'Scratch and dent' ones are cheaper than certified refurb thou

One thing I have not been able to confim thou is if the Windows 7 upgrade applies to outlet purchases

well from checking the web it seems you should get the upgrade to windows 7 if you bought it after 26th June from the outlet Im just looking a bit more to make sure first! http://www.dell.com/content/topics/topic.aspx/global/products/landing/en/us/us/dfh/windows-7-consumer?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh also is it true that most refurbs from Dell outlet are actually new?

All comments I have read on HUKD from people who got 'Scratch & Dent' ones say the marks were minor.
The outlet site says that refub and scratch and dent ones could have been returned by customers OR are brand new (so presumably got the marks/damage during the production and transport processes).
It seems you can return them if you are not happy thou

I bought a 'scratch and dent' one last week for £315 and it looks brand new, there's nothing wrong with it.

Sounds like a good price did yours have any scratches on at all? I ordered refurb instead of scratch and dent as I heard some horror stories but there's obviosly some serious bargains out there if you get a mint one!
