My dad goes to a chiropodist, they've told him that they reckon he has diabetes so the doctor has just put him through the tests, waiting on the results, apparently they could tell by his nails or something.

On a related, but less related note - I eat a lot of sugary snacks (especially lately - damn uni) and don't have an overly healthy diet (but not massively unhealthy either). What are my odds of diabetes at this stage? (Age 22).

Might ask my doc to do a few tests next time I go for a visit... Won't be for a few weeks though 'cos I'm too busy.

Please make time to go to Dr asap- my boyfriend had symptoms like that and his doctor was slack in referring him to a specialist (it later transpired that his blood sugar levels were so high he should have seen someone that day). He left it a few weeks and ended up in hospital, and now has problems with his organs that may have resulted from the delay in getting help.

You will be fine, have a few ciggies, drink some full sugar coke, snort some of the other coke, bungee jump without a bungee

as you can tell, I must be a medical expert as i post here on misc, so my advice must be more useful than a doctors.
