We received your request to reset your Windows Live password. To confirm your request and reset your password, follow the instructions below. Confirming your request helps prevent unauthorized access to your account.

If you didn't request that your password be reset, please follow the instructions below to cancel your request.


CONFIRM REQUEST AND RESET PASSWORD

1. Copy the following web address:

Ignore it. Log on to your account as normal if you want to change your password. These emails are fakes.

i have removed some of the links in my op so no the links dont work

do you think this means someone is trying to hack my e-mail?

strange, i had a email from [email protected]">[email protected] telling my that my 'mail.com' account had a password reset rejected earlier. email recieved on my hotmail account (set it up as secondary email) telling me somebody tried to reset my password but it was rejected. Just notifying me.

An unauthorized request for password for your account was rejected.

Details of the Request:
For Account :*my mail.com account*
Password be sent to : *my hotmail account*
Request from IP address : 173.2.60.187
Request Date/Time : Fri, 09 Oct 2009 17:17:51 GMT

defo seems genuine, imo, jus dont know why/who that is. nobody even knows that mail.com account... :S

No company no matter who they are would give you links like that to reset your password they would only give you steps on how to.

I pasted that into my url and my hotmail e-mail came up in this.

I'd take a guess that someone, who knows your e-mail, is trying to hack your account.
