Hey People,

I guess it's always good to search and get a second opinion on electronics to buy.

I'm after a printer, lot of black and white printing (occassional colour)

So am after a reasonable printer at a good price...

I've seen this at Tesco
http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-3852.aspx

What do you think? Any good..Has anyone used this before?

Thanks

Was actually looking at this myself earlier but decided this http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-9802.aspx is a better buy and a tenner cheaper, can get refills to do the toner 4 times for a tenner, you can refill the sammy but need to use a resetting chip each time,

if its the starter cartridge you will need a reset gear (re-useable) £1.99 http://tinyurl.com/4CSIMAN2

refill method http://www.zinetic.co.uk/video/hl2030.aspx

goes a little something like this .. http://www.inkline.gr/laser/tech/tn2000/

Still debating on it, will probably order the brother one later, the reset chips are £9.99 I'm guessing you need a new one each refill as you can buy them in packs of three too.

Samsung printers are pretty good, and consumables shouldn't break your budget. Main thing is the availability. Looks like pretty reasonable deal.

Ordered the brother one last night using the £5 off code in vouchers so that covered the delivery costs, plus got 109 cluncard points so + £4.36 in deals on them! I'll update when it arrives tomorrow and let you know what I think of it.

Right, the printer arrived earlier, the size of the box it came in was scary but once unpacked it was a decent size (ie. not too big) takes up a footprint of approx A3 sheet of paper, it was a doddle to set up under windows 7 using the supplied vista drivers. Print speed is fast and standard quality excellent.

More than happy with the purchase.
