This is the place to talk about Arsenal and Liverpool, since our fans have always got along so well and is the neutrals choice. :)

Sky sports news is coming under threat from a growing competitor known as HUKD..........

Havent we already got loads of transfer updates/spec threads already!

Is there really a need to create a new thread for every transfer speculation??

I'd love Vieira back, he's a great leader and will probably kick the youths into gear but I haven't seen much italian football recently...but I heard he's not the same player.

If it's a "pay and you play" contract, then I don't see the harm and he'll add some much needed steal into the team and help out on corners but will he be a shadow of our great memories of him will remain to be seen.

You know even Spurs fans love Arsenals way of play and stadium...why do you think you're trying to copy us in both aspects? :whistling:

RFM I think Viera would be a good signing for Arsenal.

As for Alonso I will be happy if we manage to replace him with Cattermole TBH and hopefully he goes for 30 mill.

Resigning Vieira would be pointless and I don't think it will happen. He's past it now, even if you think back to when we played Juventus a few years ago where Fabregas outperformed him you could tell we let him go at the right time. He's a legend and I do hope he returns to Arsenal, but hopefully as a coach or maybe manager in the future!

Arsenal are - they play very attractive football.

Not so sure about Liverpool.

Utter twaddle - it would be a great signing. You never replaced Gilberto or Flamini and it really has put too much strain on Fabregas.

It would be a great signing - cheap and effective.

Liverpool were attractive in the second half of the season, they played some football that deserved plaudits from every corner of the world but it's just it kicked in too late.

They're only lacking a couple players from challenging on all fronts to be honest.

He would kinda be a backward step but he would also add something on the pitch and definitely off the pitch too.

I personally would love to see Flamini come back...although he betrayed us in asking for a chance and using that to get a hefty contract elsewhere with no intention of ever playing for us, I think he may of learned the grass wasn't greener in Milan and while he's being badly treated over there, he may be interested in coming back to us and all his friends on the cheap. :)

You mad again? Everyone knows you've copied our traditional entertaining style of play.

BTW - how are we copying your stadium? Are we moving to a red light district?

No, you haven't seen him, the guy will not be good and what sort of message will it sent to Song and Denilson that they are being replaced by the guy they were supposed to replace. Vieira can't perform for the whole season and doesn't have the legs to run as much anymore so if anything it's going to make Fabregas have to run around even more. It's most probably not going to happen anyway and I'd rather see Song given the chance because he really has improved in every aspect of his game.

Not being an Arsenal fan, I'd love for Denilson and Song to continue in that role - but Vieira would be the better choice for Arsenal.

He hasn't thrived in Italy because it doesn't suit his style of play. He's still good enough to do a job for arsenal in 20-25 league games per season. Give the young kids a chance to develop but bring in experience.

Vieira is nowhere near the player he used to be, and hasn't been doing well at Inter Milan. I think it would be a mistake personally.

As for Alonso, i'm not sure, he's a decent player, but we'll get good money, it's just finding someone to either slip into Alonso's role, or, move Gerrard back and fill that role instead. Benayoun was in decent form in that position at the end of last season. I still think we can challenge without him, he had a great 08/09 season, but a poor 07/08 season. He's not irreplaceable.
