Item not received! What shall I do?!

Helloo People!!

I thought I should ask advice from you friendly bunch!

The problem is I ordered an item on Sunday evening for it to be delivered on the Tuesday morning (which I needed it by latest)

Seller said he would send by DHL and will have them Tuesday but Wednesday will be the extreme latest.

I have had to buy the item from another shop as I still have not received the item! However the seller has given me the tracking number.

Now what shall I do?!

If I put dispute what option should I choose item not recieved (where I guess he will just give them the tracking number and be in the safe)

or the other option..item not as described?

You help will be much appreciated

Hope to hear from you soon

Regards

Is this Ebay or HDUK?
Either way, if he asked DHL to deliver next day, then you have nothing on him.
He is only contracted to sell to you unless he specifies delivery within 24 hours.
It depends on whether he agreed such a timescale

DHL could be the cause and it may not be the sellers fault, I ordered a car stereo from currys and that was sent via dhl and i had tracking number and checked that is stated item delivered and signiture obtained, turned out it had been passed on to a little local courier who delivered it 2 days later!

Item not as described as like you said, just produce a tracking number

Hi there

Sorry to mention he eventually ended up sending Royal Mail First Class Delivery.

When in the Paypal Invoice it clearly says I will post by DHL.

This is an item via eBay.

Depends on what service of DHL he chose

I think the only recourse would be to refund your postal fees as he charged extra for DHL if that is what he did.
On Ebay, unless he states 24 hour delivery, Paypal/Ebay will only award you the postage fees as you have received or will receive the item
Give him negative feedback or as he posted First Class Royal Mail, claim it as unreceived unless he posted Recorded or Special Delivery:thumbsup:

you cannot do either till it has arrived, you cannot put in a dispute for not as described as you aint got it yet, and dont think you can do a non delivery immediately, please remember once you put n a dispute and it gets closed you cant put in another, so you dispute it now and say not arrived then it gets shut when tracking number is sent and it arrives next day, then once shut when you open it and it isnt as described you cannot dispute it, hope that made sense

By the way, you can't dispute things until a certain time, I think it something like 7 or 10 days but someone will confirm

Believe this is the case, think it is 7 working days or a total of 10 days.

Play offer Royal Mail First class Postage yet they class it as being 3-5 days. I think the seller was misled into thinking it would be next day as people often think first class is next day delivery.

Play is First Class. It takes 3-5 days because it comes from Jersey.
I expect the Ebay seller is from England.

Royal Mail tracking number so it must be recorded or Special Delivery, I think Recorded as Special is almost (?) guaranteed Next Day.

(if you used paypal) You have to wait 10 days for an item not received dispute, which you can then escalate to a claim, which then gives the seller 10 days to respond, if they don't respond, it's decided in your favour, if they do respond, paypal look into it further. (after that I don't know all 3 disputes which I filed were decided in my favour as the seller didn't respond.)

If the tracking numbers shows as not delivered, then it's up to the person that posted the item to recover anything lost, not the buyer
