Self destructing, Scholes and Rooney to sit out suspensions now . . .

Even if liverpool got their noses in front again (which i doubt) they would throw it away just like they always do

Yeah - he would get more favourable support/sympathy if he shown grace in defaet once in a while.

Leading by example would stop his players getting sent off all the time as well.

He would if it was sky doing the the interview, but as BBC will be doing it for MOTD he wont do it

Chelsea slipped as well!!

Good run-in for the title this year.

I've got Liverpool at 14-1 a couple weeks back.

Get in there. Final result (from 30 minute late Kick off) Chelsea run under Hiddink ended. Spurs 1 Chelsea 0

Just saw the two sending offs.

What a complete Ass Rooney is. Hopefully the ref also reports the abuse after he sent him off.

Thats Spurs just 3 points off Europe now - with equal games on the 2 clubs above. Its starting to look a possibility now. What a difference a month has made.

I love Liverpool, but this puts football into context!

United's darkest hour, Never have I seen them play so bad, 10 men for most of the match and then Rooney getting red.

Still though a possible 4 points clear should we win our game in hand.

Luckily Chelsea lost

Hopefully Vanilla do United a favour tomorrow.

The pressures on Liverpool now.

United have never done it the easy way.

I still believe.

Yeh, there is no doubt Man Ure are still in the driving seat. What was your take on Rooney? I'd be shocked if anyone says anything other than being seriously annoyed.

BTW - There was no luck in Chelsea Losing! :w00t: (Though they did hit the crossbar in the last minute. Spurs deserved that win.

Was not just Rooney, Ronaldo made a complete ass of himself today as well, Constantly moaning to the ref and falling down like a sack of spuds.

United's discipline was very shocking and certainly not the kind of attitude or performance we expect.

United played like a bunch of school girls who've never seen a football before.

I always laugh people saying to watch rugby because there are no inflated egos, its a real mans sports, there is never any trouble etc

The main flaw with this argument is that rugby is rubbish and football is mint!! No argument can beat this.

If I wanted to see a group of men grappling I would go to my local gay club at five to two on a Saturday night when they playing Shirley Bassey as the last song of the night.

His reaction was to throw the ball away, He instantly realised what would happen next.

We need to get rid of that silly instinctive reaction, I don't really blame Rooney too much, He was silly and one day he might show a bit more respect.

Up to that point Rooney was one of the better United players on the pitch, Don't really understand why he was left on the bench.

Fair play for saying it. Do you think Fergie will still claim you were the better side though?

Edit: Removed a question - 'twas answered in post above!

To be fair, I'm surprised you're not angry with him. I'd be cussing if it had been a Spurs player. Just no need for it - and ultimately accepting lose one game is better than possibly losing more for players missing through bans.

I don't think Fergie would have any case for saying that, He'll probably not give an interview, He'll be kicking boots in the changing rooms.

I expect the players may leave Craven Cottage with a severe headache.

Just a quick question for everyone especially Shauneco and Guv (as they seem to be having most fun on thread) - Will Man United win title?

I think yes as the game in hand they have could potentially give them breathing space - Chelsea and Liverpool are just too inconsistent.

My head says they will still win the title. My heart wants Liverpool.

Its not good when a club wins everything. (I'd have let them have the league though if they'd missed those Pens!):w00t:

I think the trouble is United are not used too losing, It brings out the worse in players especially Rooney with his temper etc..

It's disappointing but I'm more disappointed by the whole teams performance, We were better in the second half but not by much.

Just looked at Odds

Man U 1/4
Liverpool 3/1
Chelsea 10/1

Still heavy favourites

The worst i've seen United play in a long long time.
However still 4 points clear with same games played, got to be happy with that at this stage of the season.
So glad there's an international break next weekend, we need it!!!

The real Man U will be back in 2 weeks, suspensions considered, we still have a more than good enough team to finish it off, but the last week has been a shocker!!!

Not relying on Villa helping us out seeing as O'Neill hasn't won a game played in the month of March for 9 years!

(Well played Fulham too btw)
