i bought a new laptop a while ago. I transferred all my music off my old pc onto my laptop. I havent synced my ipod since my old pc. I have since bought new apps and music on my ipod. If i now sync it to my new laptop will I lose the new items i've bought that wont be on my laptop?

no because they were bought on your itunes account that should be linked to your ipod, im guessing youve got an ipod touch so you need your account to access the app store.
Also when you plug your ipod in it should say something like transfer files from ipod that are currently not on your pc.(which means your apps)
