Hi - ive come unstuck with itunes

however EVERY disc i try and copy at least one of the tracks takes an age to copy and then when i play it back, that particular track is all damaged and doesnt play right.

Import setting are: MP3, 192kbps, with error correction turned on!

I have loads to do and i feel like binning the lot!

oh yes - several times, i wondered whether they were the ones with protection on them or something like that - the cds are mint as well so nothing to do with scratchs etc

You could try a different mp3 conversion program, that way you'll know if its just Itunes playing up.
If not may your CD tray is on the way out?

thats a good idea, i have tried it in media player but they were the same tracks that were terrible in playback. Cant understand cause everything used to be fine

If not it could be a protection issue, you could try something like anydvd, that should help strip out the copy protection element before you import the cd. its free for 21 days then you'd have to pay for it, or seek other ways to use it.............

maybe some of the songs have an anti copy thingy?

This is one of the reasons people are driven to piracy by the Stupid music industry,Dont they realise that if people cant use the music they have paid for they will end up getting it somewhere else

- 'EVERY CD'
I've imported quite a few new and old CDs with iTunes and had not one problem, have you used a lens cleaner on your CD/DVD drive? There are dry ones that do the job - check WH Smiths, Maplins etc. Hope you can resolve it!

seriously mate - its every CD, and always one or two of the middle tracks, like 5-7 etc

I've had this problem with iTunes and it was due to the CD being dirty - check the CD of the ones you're having problems with. I cleaned them with Brasso to get the scratches off and after a bit of effort they imported without any issues.
