For a week and half, not a massive amount of time but its the longest ever for me but i have noticed something. I tend to pee quite a lot, is this something to do with the body getting rid of waste products?
As I am into weight training and got this diet from muscle and fitness it does go hand in hand with weight training so it is great for me and i can really feel the difference. Im not bothered about using the scales, just what i can see.

But the question really is- is the peeing due to the diet?

The body retains water between fat cells. Lose the fat, **** out the water.

do u drink more fluids than before?

I would have thought fat is lost through the shi ter not a piddle

im not necessarily saying that the pee is fat but other waste products!

So does that mean that the diet is working?

I would say losing weight is a good indicator.

i know losing weight is a good indicator but as i said I have no interest in my weight as such as i weight train, I want my weight to increase but body fat to decrease if that makes sense!

I doubt if you can use your amount of pee as an indicator either.

I did state that i wasnt bothered about the scales just what i can see.
What I was asking was if my more fequent need to urinate was down to the diet

No one here knows what you were eating drinking before, or what you are now.
So the answer is "Maybe".

thesaint has a bit of a point but ill assume you are just on a standard higher protein style diet with higher intake of liquids.
higher liquids = higher pee pees
higher protein may make the kidneys work harder and so pee more frequently
but you dont really give info on volumes of liquids, excercise, frequency, diet, colour and volume of pee so hard to tell.

ok its a low carb/high carb diet with a fair amount of protein. Although i am not drinking any more than in normally do.

It consists of 2 days of low carb- 2 days of high carb-2 days of low- 2 days of high etc etc

It is fairly high in protein so maybe this could be the problem.
On the high days i eat minced beef for lunch and chicken for dinner, with eggs and cereal for breakfast.
on the low days i have a tuna sandwich for lunch and fish for dinner. All meals except the sandwich are eaten with a lot of salad. In between meals is a snack of cottage cheese and sometimes a spoonful of peanut butter.

Im finding the diet great as i am never hungry.
Im training 6 days a week with weights on mon-wed -fri and cardio on tues thurs and sat.
