Ok its not as exciting as it sounds but its an interview for the Citizens advice bureau to do voluntary work. Im out of work at the moment and been looking since january so i figured rather than doss around doing nothing and looking for jobs I can have something to do every day and have the chance of possibly getting a permanent paid job in the CAB as well as looking for work elsewhere.

Sorted!!

well i applied to two CAB offices. The one i have got the interview for I have a friend in there who told me that they were looking for volunteers so i applied, he would not have had a say as to whether i get an interview or not. I didnt hand in a cv I completed an application form and sent it to them.

give them a ring and ask if they have any voluntary jobs available.

well done and i think you will find it really interesting. My friend started as a volunteer for victim support and now runs an office for criminal injuries etc and is on a very good wage.

great news and initiative unlike some lazy bums on this forum

thanks for the replies. How i see it is, it could either turn into a full blown paid job, or its something to add to my cv and it keeps me busy!

it will always go in your favour on a cv ...keeps you occupied and shows future employers you aren't a lazy bum lol
