Ive lost my "buying" drive

Sounds funny :D
Anyways, these days, I don't seem interested to buy stuff anymore - just stick some comments and that's it. I used to buy loads months ago, especially bargains, but now, I hold back. I have some vouchers with expiry dates on em and they dont seem to help? Maybe the deals ain't tempting enough anymore...

talk over...

I go through phases like that where i'm constantly buying and then dont buy much for ages, it seems to coincide with the regular sales/clearance periods ie end of summer/winter.

Most of what I buy now is to make a quick buck on for the kids christmas bits, or if theres something bigger I want for myself i set myself a target say the 360 elite @ £250 i bought I did it in two weeks on a budget of £50 as I work on a 20% basis, so spend £50 on bits to sell then use the money from that to buy more to sell and so on until target is reached, thats buying odd bits on here but mostly boot sales to put on ebay, its saved me from a few what would otherwise be impulse purchases too.

so you are basically buying stuff on here then selling on ebay? How are you helping people get a good deal? after all that's the point of this site :?

Look, if you don't actually want something, don't buy it. It may be a deal but that doesn't mean you need to snap it up. I see loads of deals on graphics cards but in the end there are only so many I can use and can't be bothered speculating on selling a 'deal' on later. I still vote and comment because that's somewhere I can contribute to the discussion to the advantage of those looking to buy but perhaps not as well informed.
If I bought everything I found a deal and wanted, I'd be broke. And then where would I be?

The odd bits off here yes but like i said mostly boot sales:thumbsup: When I do order from a deal on here ive never ordered more than 2 or 3 of an item.

Its dog eat dog world now mate. Not helping people get a good deal? It helps my family get a good deal in life mate and they are who come first, speaking of helping people get a good deal what was the last one you posted?

This is misc anyway, but I have posted some deals before as I see them:-D

@ chesso, probably credit crunch, although I blame more on bills. They are soaring as if it is limitless....

@ hartzer, Tbh, i don't usually do the selling, although it sounds like a neat idea. Just that some cost input (apart from £50) would be time, footwork, and a very concentrated eye :P (make that two)

@ robovski, my graphics card used to cost £70 2/3 months ago. Now it costs £45. I still intend to keep the gpx card anyway, as I don't think the later games would pulverize the current market. The bargains are there, but thats only because the tech market is moving at its fastest rate. I swear that in 6/8 months time, there will be a new gatekeeper past the 4750.

@ snowtiger, looks like the spend spend spend times have truly ended.Guess it is good job to us, I saved some money but as with the vouchers, I guess they gonna wait til the christmas clearance :D

There are stacks of people that do this on a daily basis to a far greater extent than Harlzter (it's even been suggested on a number of occassions that Ebayers vote cold to keep attention away from deals) & it seems incredibly naive to think otherwise.

The other thing is there are some deals that have finite stock or are misprices with a limited 'lifespan' but there are also a great many with ongoing & readily available stock...who's to say which Harlz has been buying???

Finally, what about people who don't know about HUKD? You have what could be seen as having an unfair advantage over people who could be very loyal customers of a retailer, but are unaware of a promotion or on the breadline & the deal would make all the difference to their family...do you worry about them???

I've more or less completely lost my HUKD drives, and bargain hunting along side it.

I don't come on here anywhere near as much, and therefore don't spend as much. Don't know what it is - everything has phases I suppose.

Thank you Uncle Charlie!

I had to laugh though at one instance last week as tesco had some lounger cushions reduced to £1 from supposedly £4 but in the catalogue the true initial price was £34, so anyway I popped on ebay to see what selling prices where like on them and noticed a seller had 30 available, now this ebay seller has a fairly distinctive user name, and also the same is a member here! Just checked and they had three concurrent listings with 30 in! So thats 90 they had bought!!!!
You know who you are!!!!!

This is not MSE, most if us control our spending, they like to advertise to the world how much debt they are in!
