I hope Jack Tweed's teenage victim (whom he could have killed) & the teenager's family are just as pleased with the fact that his curfew has been "relaxed" (read: "removed") for this evening.

The Wikipedia text for the "Celebrity Big Brother 2007 (UK)" entry (with references to Tweed's time in the house) makes interesting reading...

Jack Tweed

Jack Andrew Tweed (born 7 July 1987 in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire) is Jade Goody's husband. He entered the House on January 5, 2007 as a member of Jade's family. He was a master during the Master and Servant task. Jack left school at the age of 16 to become an electrician like his father, however, he soon changed career to male modelling. He is currently training to be a footballers' agent. He has courted controversy over his "****ing ****" comment (which was bleeped and then subsequently reported as "f**king ****") and suggested that Shilpa remove objects from the toilet with her teeth. When Jade apologised to Shilpa (on day 16), Jack confessed that he was very disappointed with Jade for apologising to her and called Shilpa a “dick”. He also previously described Shilpa as a "******". Following Jade's eviction, he spent more time with former Miss Great Britain Danielle Lloyd, who was said to be flirting with Jack and told him "I love you" when she was drunk.[19]. It was alleged that before either of them were famous, Tweed had a relationship with Big Brother 7 star Nikki Grahame; however this ended before Tweed dated Goody or Grahame entered the house.[20] In May 2007, Endemol released previously withheld material in which O'Meara, Tweed and Goody constructed a limerick which was based around, although it did not directly use, the word "****", instead replacing the racist slur for the word "tacky".

On September 1, 2008, Tweed was sentenced to 18 months in prison for attacking a 16 year old boy with a golf club in December 2006, one month before entering the house. He served four months of the sentence before being released on electronic monitoring on 27 January 2009.[21]

He is now married to Goody; they ,married on 22 February 2009.

Hi Fanpages, I had no idea he was on electronic monitoring, had just assumed he was in jail. I believe that in general crimes of violence aren't treated harshly enough by the courts. I had no idea what he was being punished for, but really it isnt relevant in this. He sounds lovely, thank goodness he isn't MY husband!

I do feel sorry for Jade and her children. When I was about 20 I had a cervical smear test come up with "pre pre" cancerous cells, they repeated the test six months later and luckily for me the cells had returned to normal. I had to have smears six monthly for quite a few years. Both my sisters have also had scares at a young age and have had further treatment, including a "cone biopsy" where part of the womb is removed.

I think it is awful for *anyone* to be facing death and I am glad she has someone she feels she can trust. I care very little for all the stupid name calling. It's all either just media hype or truely offensive and racist. Thank goodness it isn't my place to judge them for their actions. What is more important in my mind, is that in my opinion it is sad for any child to have to lose their mother. My feelings go out to those children. They got some rough times ahead of them, whatever happens, they are innocents.

I am sorry to read that you & your immediate relations have been affected in the past.

I'm not wanting to cause offence to anyone, & certainly not you,... but I'm going to say this anyway.

Jade is not the only person in the UK, or indeed in the World, that this has happened to (as you can testify).

The media circus at the moment is treating her like royalty (or rather, they are continuing to use her as the goose that lays the golden egg for revenue) & every other affected family in the country must be feeling twice as bad because they had to suffer in (relative [no pun intended]) silence when they went through the same scenario.

Jade is 27. Not very old, but certainly not the youngest person to die (publicly, or otherwise) with these symptoms (or any other ailment).

In the past week (without seeking to do so) I have learned some information about Jade's former life prior to her entering Big Brother that I had not previously been made aware of. There is no denying she had a very difficult upbringing and, to some extent, deserved the success (or notoriety) she found a few years ago as a release to her earlier memories.

Yes, it is a shame for her & certainly for her children at this time.
No money in the world will replace a child's mother (at the tender age her children are).
Yes, she is entitled to live the remainder of her life how she chooses to.

I'm just making the point that this is only "front page" news because of the public's reaction, not because it is *that* news worthy.

Other people manage to put their children through private education with far less money than Jade has at this time (discounting any funds she is securing through further negotiation).

I am just wondering if there is far more attention on this story than there would be normally due to the current economic climate & the public latching on to set of circumstances that makes their own lives feel less distressing.

I just thought I needed to add that all those who have gone on record in the last few weeks to laud Jade or her actions never thought to do this before the announcement about her early demise.

All seems a little two-faced, a little two late.

As I said... just an opinion. I may be in the minority of one here, and if so, I'll be quiet.

(Also, reading the Wikipedia entry I transposed above, that I know may not be anywhere near the truth, just makes me think Jack Tweed is equally looking to be a celebrity for the sake of being one especially with his actions with Nikki Grahame & Danielle Lloyd. I hope he takes he joint responsibility of Jade’s children with their natural father seriously once Jade is no longer able to).

Hmmm...

I was just showing a colleague the Wikipedia entry I quoted above & noticed that somebody has edited it!

The following sentence is no longer in the entry:

"It was alleged that before either of them were famous, Tweed had a relationship with Big Brother 7 star Nikki Grahame; however this ended before Tweed dated Goody or Grahame entered the house."

Curious!
