is he muslim?

to be fair,we expect people who come here to abide by our laws so,no matter how ridiculous we may think other countries laws are,we should respect them when visiting.
#8
like someone from switzerland coming and euthanising someone overhere, different laws, not on the same scale though...

About 1.1 Britons visited the United Arab Emirates in 2009, while more than 100,000 British nationals live there.

I lived there for a while around 95/96.. but I was about 10 years too young for a girlfriend, so unfortunately I didn't get a chance to test the laws out.

I know a few people who live there, and they absolutely love it, some of them even 10-15 years later.

they've simply flouted the law, not necessarily a 'crime'

LOL.

Stupid of them really, they could have just done that (and the rest) in the privacy of her hotel/his house? Of course we would find it unreasonable over here, but that's the way it is out there. There's really no counter-argument here. At least it serves to warn other people that they actually will get in trouble.
