the rebranding hasnt helped then ....

they've always been huge stores, charging extortionate prices and after sportsworld broke into the mainstream they were always for it. You can get the same Cricket Bats for 50% less...

Talking of which at the back end of last year i got 3 very good quality Dunlop Tenns Rackets and a 2 kids 'GM' bats + 1 adult size for under £20-would cost near a 100 at JJB :thumbsup:-

Can but cheaper online and stuff from sports and soccer miles cheaper, I'm suprised JD sports is still going!!

used to work part time for sports soccer, they payed me £4.25 an hour and are the stingiest company i have ever known.

i used to work for jjb, 1st oxord street branch till it shut down, then old kent road branch- it shut down then new cross branch till it shut down, ive now moved on to boots which i dont think will be closing down any time soon.

my best mate is assistant manager in essex and her store is closing down this month, so shes jobless now!

I used to work for Jd sports ... how do they get away with charging them prices?? The pay I got was pitiful!!!

I'm not surprised. What staff traing do they do?

I called in to a 'superstore' to buy an American Football and they didn't have any on show. I asked a member of staff who said, if they are not out then we don't have any. Deflated (sorry for the pun), I was about to go and then said, "would your other branch (2 miles away) have one"?
" I don't know" was the reply. I said "could you ring for me please"?

Reluctantly she did and they did and I did!

I just don't understand. Do they not know the work in a service industry?

People got to work, you will find other jobs, but you really need to be a skilled worker to have some job security.

jd isnt the same as jjb. They shouldnt even be called jd sport. More like fashion shop
