Hi, I'm after a job and wondered if anyone has any tips on how i can get one. I'm 15 and tried a few places already; is it still possible to get a job while being under 16? Thanks Rob

yes it is but alot of companies dont take on staff below 16
whilst you are still at school you are only allowed to do a certain amount of hours(below 20 i think) and not work on a sunday or after 7pm(in retail anyway)
hence you wont be as flexible to them
try to find something you have an interest in.
i run an outdoor store and only realy take on staff that have outdoor intersets as it works better for me and them.
good luck

I worked at a Ramada Jarvis hotel when I was 15 and I had loads of fun!

Not huge pay but more than the minimum!

Hotels always need staff & waiting is a good laugh plus if your good you may get tips!!

Good luck! ! :)

OP, Are you talking about a part time job while you still study or are you after something for when you leave school?

I first worked at Pizza Hut when I was 15 - only allowed to clear tables/greet customers etc, but was great fun, plus you make loads of new friends

+1 from me for actually bothering to try!

I know it's not much help financially, but you can always ask at places if you can work just for the experience (for free) for a couple of weekends / weeks - it's a really good way to get your foot in the door and prove yourself. It also shows willingness and employers LOVE that.

do some volunteering work in something that you are intresterd in
then when a job comes up you will get first refusal,
volunteering work all adds to your experiance, if a job crops up you want you are more likely to get it if you have previously done volunteering.
cant 15yr olds do some saturday jobs?
ask around it worth a try, the worst they'l say is no or come back when you 16
dont give up
goodluck

Wow, now you're just hating.

I probs won't give you the job now.

It was gunna pay about £40K a year though which is about 7 or 8 times the amount you are earning now.
