I am a full time mum and woud like to make some extra cash. I want to do something flexible with no selling involved.

I was thinking of starting something up offering to do small jobs fo people, ie waiting in for their parcels/deliveries, watering their plants, walking their dogs etc. One off things so they dont have to employ me full time. There is alot f proffesionals in my area working long hours. Does anyone think this is a good idea or done anything similar? Would like some opinions. Thank you in advance.

Do you have to work from home, or can you go out and about?

avon is good, its not really selling, just stick catalogues through the door and collect them a couple of days later!

I can get out and have a car, but also have a 18 month old to consider. Avon and betterware etc are pretty much covered in my area.

So you will be looking after your child at the same time?

How about house sitting for people whilst they are away - turning lights on and off, closing/opening curtains (to make it look like someone is home), watering plants etc?

Are you on any benefits as you will lose your entitlements (if you work a certain number of hours or earn a certain amount)?

Have you considered being a dinner lady? I do it at our local infants and it fits in with the kids  You can enquire when the schools re-open in Sept or go on your local education authority website and look in the job section.

What about ironing?
I know a lot of people I work with have someone to do their ironing, it's picked up and droped off.
So you could do this at your own home.
You could try placing an add in the local paper/shop/post office etc..
Hours to suit you.
