Sorry can't help. How would you actually explain your talents to a virus :?

If it's really seriously flu you haven't got a choice and they will understand.

If it's just man flu then paracetemol will bring your temperature down. 2 Solpadeine effervescent will kick in really fast and give you a couple of hours high which may give you enough time to get through the interview.
Don't take too many solpadeine, they're addictive !!

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon :)

As above ^^^^

Don't mean to sound heartless but until you actually have Flu then it's just a cold. With Flu you literally can't get out of bed...........the doctor will even come to you. Now there's a rarity. :giggle:

Yeah dose yourself up, go to the interview, do your best and let us know how it goes.

Everyone seems to be ill at the moment, hope your feeling better soon.

If it is the real flu - you would not give two mokeys about missing the interview and you certainly wouldnt want to look at a computer. (Sorry..doesnt sound sypathetic - but I have had employees phone in with 'flu' and believe me - it isnt! ). Dose yourself up as above and soldier in. Perhaps you will even pick up some Brownie points for making the effort when you are not well. Hope it goes well!

Am full of cold & still managing to get into work with little sleep & feeling really pants....unfortunately I have to be here as there is no one else :-( ...go to the interview...explain you are ill - Hopefully it will show that you really want the job & that you won't not turn in every time you have a slight illness (unlike the work shy fops I have to deal with) ...get well soon

Kind-of a tricky one, isn't it?

Your interview will be the first impression you make with the company. If you turn up while you're ill, you'll give the impression of being an unhealthy person. No-one wants to hire unhealthy people. You may also give the impression of being the kind of selfish person that'll turn up even when they are ill, infecting the rest of the office, something that puts productivity in nosedive.

On the other hand, they might see your willingness to do the interview as a sign of confidence in your abilities even when you are down. If you go to the interview, you might do well to make positive spin out of that. They might applaud your determination, and think, "Yeah, good guy. Let's have him."

Personally, I'd phone up, tell them a friend has died and the interview clashes with the funeral, and ask to reschedual. It would lack any sort of moral decency, but, it'd have the bonus of letting you off without making you seem like an unhealthy person. I'd then eat my own bodyweight in oranges and cranberries..

Very addictive, and can cause long term damage, some people take packets of the tablets a day and are very ill.

All Over The Counter medicines are addictive and most can kill in large quantitys.

How did you know know btw most people dont think they are.
