John Lewis furniture - other suppliers?

Sorry, now I know my name looks fake but it isn't, and unfortunately I'm not rich like my namesake...

I've been eyeing up a John Lewis Santander corner suite http://www.johnlewis.com/Home+and+Garden/Living+Room/Living+Room+Furniture/Sofa+Ranges/1352/230307303/Product.aspx here and was wondering if anywhere else offer the same furniture, or if its produced solely for JL.

Failing that do you reckon I get a discount? lol

Any light shed on this would be a big help. Thanks a lot guys.

PS go easy on me its my first post!

Harveys have something similar in look to the one after. It is a corner suite (left or right, whichever you prefer) called Marrakesh for £799.

It has to be worth a look at half the price of the one at John Lewis!

sorry,dunno how to post a direct link:oops:

Thanks muckypup, what with getting a new house its close enough to warrant a 2nd best should my debts eat up my property profit!

Gonna keep looking though for the exact same thing, cos I need it in my life.

Welcome to HUKD JL. I expect everyone asks you if you are related to the other JL.:)

The Santander corner suite does appear in every search list with the JL link, so, yes, it does look like it's exclusive to them.

If you look for John Lewis in the voucher section a £15 of a minimum £75 spend seems to be the best offer. Not much for the cost of the suite but better than nothing.:)

Hi palspal

So far its all been quiet on the namesake front, but its early days, I suspect it will change with more visibility amongst the forums!

Thanks, the exclusivity thing is as I first suspected. I will keep my eyes peeled in the JL section for the best money-off and hope for a miracle

i know you're after the exact same thing but it may be worth a look at CSL,they have some lovely corner suites, similar again to the santander, but a bit cheaper, around the £1100-£1200 price bracket. They look really nice quality and you can also get 4 years interest free to help with the finances.

Again it's just a thought, though I know once you've set your mind on something...........:whistling:

Tell ya wot there's 2 corkers on there, I like your style!!

Obviously theyre not *quite* as grand but very close!

A breakdown for those interested (I certainly am now!):

Palermo: £698 from CSL
Marrakech: £799 from Harveys
Riviera: £1195 from CSL

These versus JL's 1600 quid Santander corner suite is quite a saving! Nice one muckypup/palspal, a nice list gathered there.

Emma (one of the mods) usually finds the JL codes, so look out for her posts. My first purchase here was £20 off a £50 JL purchase through one of Emma's deals.:)

If you look at the top of the Harvey's site page muckypup you will see the site address. If you copy that into the 'Reply to Thread' window, you should see this:

http://www.harveysfurniture.co.uk/collection/corner-groups/1-3.aspx

and that will give the direct link.:)

Yes. That gives the link to this thread. If you go to any site and copy the address at the top of any page on the web such as Google:
http://www.google.co.uk/

Do a search on Google to a site and copy any address into the 'Reply to Thread' window and you will have a link to that page address.

Alternatively you can select the text you wish to be linked, then click the http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/editor/createlink.gif button in the reply window. A window pops up allowing you to paste in your link and the result is customised, linked text, like mine on the above post.

Not to worry.:)

I'm learning too. JL has just told me something I didn't know about the customised, linked text. I'll have to have a go at that now.

Magic  thanks JL
