...In selected stores. They hope to then make it nationwide. Stores so far are only Asda Living Leeds and Tesco Basildon Pitsea store.

Has your local started buying/selling used games yet?

Gotta feel sorry for Gamestation. Then again, my local stopped selling/trading PC games over Christmas because they run out of shop space and deemed console pap more important. So yeah...

Go on Tesco! You show 'em lol

dont know how this could be profitable for them if they plan to undercut gamestation etc

Why does it need to be profitable if it gets more people coming in store to buy their shopping then its a winner

They dont care about profit of the games! If it is dragging a further 200 + Gamestation/Game customers into their stores every day (Who will more than likely do their shopping or spend some cash while they are there) then they're on to a winner...If GS/CEX?Game go bust in the proccess, its a bonus to them too!

yes, it sounds like another loss-leader idea

might last long enough to put game out of business then they stop selling them....

if its cheaper, then who cares where's it's from :)

Tesco and Asda already sell used games. They break them open then keep them on the floor, in a cupboard, under till, or anywhere they can can mistreat them.

You won't be saying that when CEX/Game/Gamestation go under and Asda and Tesco start bumping up the prices cause they have no direct competition!!

Another nail in the coffin for the high street

Game/Gamestation should have seen their demise coming. In my town there are 2 Game stores and a Gamestation and it's similar in most others towns I've been to. It's not like they're spread out over town either - they're all within a few mins of each other!

I know that Norwich has 3 Game stores (1 is within Debenhams) and a Gamestation. Madness!

My point is that the cost of running so many stores means they charge more for games, give crap prices for trade ins, etc. They're making a smart move closing stores but I'm not sure opening so many in the first place was a wise move..

Internet sales ftw. Can't remember the last time I bought a game on the high street..

The simple fact is Game/Gamestation massively over charge for 90% of their products.

i agree, ive been in game and gamestation recently and i dont know how they price some games up several of them cost more for preowned than new, and some preowned of the same game were different prices, its daft. there should be a set price for preowned.
