Anyone know about the PAC code situation

The PAC code is valid for 1 month, if you don't use it that's fine.

Yes the phone is yours to do what you like with.

Sup DG, I can't believe you've disappeared all these months.
The phone is yours to keep and do as you wish...you can smash the phone with a hammer if it satisfies you.

The contract has to be cancelled with 30 days notice but I doubt it'll turn into a PAYG contract, which is probably why my friends have changed there numbers a million times...do you think they're just doing that to get rid of me? lol

They're not very smart though...cos they keep texting me their new number. :-D

i assume by using the pac code is the only way to keep your number
if you dont use -it that number is lost and no payg

So what if i wanted to stay with orange but convert my number to PAYG? just give them a call i guess?

you will have to contact Orange to turn your sim/mobile number to PAYG, have you tried retentions for a new deal? they seem to be giving out fairly good deals at the moment.

That's cos you don't call loads of girls anymore. :p

Try speaking to Orange retentions/cancellations department and if they can't offer you a good deal (on a lower contract with less mins etc or maybe even a sim free option) request to see if they can switch it to a PAYG terms but you can always move to another sim free network.

I.e O2 have 800 mins and 1600 texts plus great bolt ons (unlimited calls to O2/landline, unlimited texts, unlimited internet etc) for £19.58 per month plus £100 Quidco.

That effectively makes it a little over £11 per month.

My o2 letter said if I don't use the PAC code within 30 days then my contract will continue. So you shouldn't need to do anything to stay with them.
I bet they're hoping to keep hold of a few customers by doing that!

and they will keep charging you for your contract but remove any special deals you had on the last contract.
