I hope i'm not expected to pay extra when I get there for glasses (as it wasnt mentioned as included in the booking!)

Yep us Londoners get robbed - I ain't doing it, there's 4 of us too.

Maybe cos I don't 'get' 3D though, I've got a lazy eye so it has no effect on me :giggle:

LOL...at least you wont "need" to buy a 3D TV. :p

Ive only seen 3D stuff at the iMax theatres, so Toy Story 3 will be a first for me. Shame the kids cant wait another 2 months for a decent download they can watch as many times as they like and I'll save £40. :w00t:

At the metrocentre you can get "Gallery" seating.

You get big leather chair, free popcorn and drink. Theres also access to a bar.

£15 a ticket.

Do you have that option at your cinema? all cinemas down here wont do it. the glasses are included in the price of the film. you cant just ask for a 3D viewing minus the glasses cost.

At my local Odeon they have started charging £1 for the glasses, but you keep and re-use them. Ticket prices for 3D films have been reduced accordingly.

How do you work that out.... £40 for four add £5 per seat = £80+

He said his cinema Gallery is £15 per ticket. Add a fiver to that, and multiply by 4. Not too difficult really. (By all means check the prices.... It's £80.20)

I thought they didn't let kids in the Gallery? Maybe they do for kids films I guess.

Did gallery once for me and OH, think it's £22 each in Greenwich, wouldn't even think of paying it for 4 :w00t:

Dunno.. there are no kids prices listed. I just assumed the price was the same for kids. Maybe not.:?

I know from previous experience that Gallery is for over 18's only, I think cos they have a bar in that section.
But if anyone is rich enough to take their kids to the Gallery, please don't take my word for it, get your butler to check! :-D

Anyways, Orange Wednesdays for 3D screenings, can I?

What cinema chain do you go to?

IF it's cineworld, they've got an unlimited card, £13.50 a month and you can go as many times per month as you like. You do need to pay the extras for 3d films (£1 for glasses), but it's worth it for other films. Plus, I think it can be used for orange wednesdays, i.e. it's classed as paying, so someone else can get in completely free.

Not so good if you only go to the cinema rarely right enough...

To be honest, if I went more than I did, I'd take up that offer. Only problem is that the nearest cineworld is a 35 minutes drive away and you cant book tickets in advance or on the phone - only in person on the day.
