Just bought my first Wii

My missus had asked a number of times for me to get one. Finally bought one for her (ahem) today.

What other accessories/games should I be looking to buy apart from Wii fit, Wii Play, Mario Kart. Is Wii Music a must have?

What other essential should I buy?

Also, I have a Xbox 360 and PS3. How does Guitar Hero on the Wii compare to the 360 and PS3 versions?

That's about it, unless you want Zelda or Mario Galaxy, but you have the other two console for real games.

All we play is the Wii Fit, Mario Kart and Wii Sports!

I am 25 yo female so this is my opinion.

The Wii Play is a must have for the Wiimote and I would also recommend buying an extra nunchuck as you can play 2 player boxing in Wii Sports and there is a boxing game in Wii Fit.

And an extra wheel for Mario Kart - Original only!

I would recommend buying Raving Rabbids (which I just bought last week for £10.99 from Zavvi, don't know if they still have it for that price)

I also like SuperMonkey Ball and Brain Academy I thought was okay too.

Raving Rabbids and Supermonkey also use a nunchuk for some games
Hope this helps

Super MArio Galazy is amazing, as is Mario Kart. Zelda looks good, Zack and Wiki is a good buy if you like 'real' games, there's an awful lot of tosh on the Wii though

If you have HD TV look at buying the component cables as these do make the picture clearer.

I also bought one for the G/F. She likes the Wii fit. But go careful buying that!! She may take it the wrong way!!

Mario Kart & Lego Batman are the only 2 games I play on... And the best thing was smashing a hanging ceiling light when playing Beach Sports... oops...:p

AA rechargeable batteries are a must have.

Due to the amount of dross out there maybe consider chipping your Wii. I know it can't be condoned but it does allow you to try before you buy.
