Just Done my Christmas food shopping at Asda

Well it's nearly 07.30am and I have just returned from my local 24 hour Asda having done my Christmas food shopping.
Should I have been surprised that the fresh veg had almost gone there was no fresh bread at all and at least half the shelves were empty or had very little stock on them.
It looked like hardly anything had been restocked overnight from yesterday's mayhem.
Should I have been surprised??

I'm not sure if it's just Asda or all of the supermarkets, but that is one of my pet hates of Asda. I find that if I do a shop outside of regular hours there I invariably end up having to go back the next day for bits and peices they never had out on my first visit.

my friend said she did her shopping at asda last year about 10pm on the 23rd and the shelves were empty... she went back about 10ish on christmas eve hoping they had stocked up and they was still the same!

Seems its a common thing with asda..

Sainsbury was a bit bare last night - no salad and hardly any turkeys..... I've been to Tesco this morning and everything you could possibly want is heaped high and fresh.

Morrisons in Burton was fully stocked, only a few shoppers when we turned up just after 7am opening.

Was a doddle :).

its because people are idiots, thinking that civilisaion is about to end and go mad stocking up on bread, milk etc not realising that they are only closed for one frakkin day.

It's nice ot have fresh stuff - and to be honest, I just don't have room to get it any sooner!
Also I do work full time, so have to shop around that...
