Just wonder if anybody have problem with the Just-Eat "Place 2 order in September and get £5 off voucher in Oct" offer they ran previously?

I was refused a voucher because according to their t&c both orders have to be over the value of £10. Problem is this requirement was not clearly shown in anywhere in their original promotional materials (banner ads etc.) and non of those provide a clear link to that t&c where such requirement was clearly stated. I am sure as I tried so hard just tryingn to find one of that tiny print or catch but I failed, so I went ahead to order twice assuming there's no such requirement.

Now they obviously have their website facelifted, and have one page dedicated to all promotional t&c including old one, which clearly stated such requirement. But the point is it wasn't there during the promotional period!

I am thinking about reporting this to the Trading Standard or any consumer watch dog such as the BBC as I am really fed up with the catch business like this is doing. Just wonder if anybody else share the same experience?

Thanks.

I havent recieved mine either and wondered why but I am sure both mine were over £10

why do people get soooooooooooo angry over the smallest things like a £5 off voucher on more junk food?:?:?:?
#3
well it's not a matter of £5 or less or more, it's just the fact that as I was pretty sure I have done everything I can trying to find a catch yet I can't and now I am being caught, just doesn't seem right. Seem like they are scamming people by hiding their t&c - or add in AFTER the promotion?

I can't be sure because the original t&c (if any) and all the promotional materials apparently are no longer there and they can say whatever they want. That's why I ask here if anybody have similar problem, or is it just me?

Ok after a long live help chat I got my code, tried putting in voucher but it wouldnt let me for collection, selected delivery and pay by visa and code says "valid for credit card orders only" I mean wtf!

Send me a link and I will review their T&C's for you, tomorrow. I am used to this type of thing.

Ok my voucher says can only be used for credit card transactions but wont let me use my Visa as if you click Visa it says the same "this is for credit card orders only" yet it goes through with a Solo or Maestro yet doesnt reduce the payment by £5. Strange.

This is the link they gave me: http://www.just-eat.co.uk/privacy-policy

Which wasn't there DURING they did the promotion. Even if it is I swear their promotional ads/banner doesn't give any clue of where to find it.

Problems with mine too, even though they have now given me the voucher it is no longer valid since it was only for a month they claim!

Hi lol after checking this site I found a £3 off voucher to get a chicken tikka kebab with naan bread and salad and chilli sauce and chips and a can of cherry coke for 60p then used the same code for another resturant across the road where I am getting a 10" chefs special pizza with chips and a can for £1.50! great better than a £5 voucher lol

It's an old one from July that shows as expired, I decided to risk it and it works. Just check this site for around that period for just eat.

don't tell me it's "metro3" as I tried that one million times only to prove it not working!

still, can't find anything to do with just eat, type in "just eat" in search come out everything apart from "just eat"!

The Terms & Conditions are very clear in that they refer to the minimum order value of £10 per transaction. The problem with "vouchers" can be that you received them (potentially) as a goodwill gesture from the company that issued them. If you can show that you were induced in to a contract in order to benefit from the voucher then you may have a point. Without knowing what you were presented with when you received the voucher, it is difficult (actually it is impossible) to let you know your legal rights.

If you can get this to me I am more than happy to look again for you.

Magicjay, yes as I said their t&c was clear now - but AFTER the offer is over. If you would have been to their website, or use their promotional link back then you should find it difficult to find that t&c clearly stated anywhere.

Their website has been given a facelift only recently, and if it's now they run the promotion with clearly stated t&c I won't have a problem - I just make sure I order £10 and over. My point is it wasn't clear at the time back then and they are claiming t&c applied now and refuse to issue a voucher. Either it's a scam, or it's just me missing their t&c - that's why I post here to ask if anybody else know that t&c indeed existed (in a clear enough way for one to find!), or many others would be like me fell into the offer only to find you are not eligible?

That was my question to you. Do you have, at the time of being able to receive the discount, proof that the T&C's were not in a readily available state.

of course not, I can't find them remember? the original point of my post is to see if anybody else find themselves in my position - feel like being tricked into a promotion where the t&c were not clear or readily available.

if yes, then it tells me it's them who deliberately hid their t&c, else it maybe just me carelessly missed their t&c.
