just as friends...

Get this, my mates gf is going cinema with another lad tomorrow and he doesn't even mind. Says their just mates now but they used to date before and just stayed friends since. Lmao. I was like what????

Then I wandered if maybe it was just me, when I was in a relationship I didn't even like other lads texting her let alone taking her out.

Where do you draw the line with your OH? Texts, phonecalls? Does it even bother you?

If you can't trust someone to go out by themselves then its you that has the problem imo. If something happens then it would probably happen anyway and the relationship obviously wasn't that great to begin with.

My girlfriend has friendboys, and I have friendgirls.

I suspect if I went to the cinema with a friendgirl, I'd be in trouble, and similarly wouldn't like it if she went with a male friend.

Mates gf is a lunatic, and your mate is a simpleton.

depends on what the relationship was like with them before??? if it was a long one i prob wouldnt like it but if it was no more than a couple of weeks i prob wouldnt care

I think that if I was going to the cinema with an ex-girlfriend, just as friends, then my current partner would probably have a total wig-out.

Answer this question, can ex lovers just be good friends? Would you cop a feel in the back row of the cinema?

I completely do not agree with this....In this world and Age, first of all, why not go out with her female friends, why a male ex to the Cinema? Why not bring along a 3rd party just to make sure nothing happens.... I don't trust the ex neither do I trust the girl...eventually if something happens, its just gonna be like, "its just a one time thing"

As much as I would trust a partner/gf I will not leave room for temptation.
#25
Lol...

So if it's ok for your OH to go to the cinema with another bloke... is it ok for them to stay over at his house as there just mates ??

As the OP states, it was a ex, I think that there's always one person in the break up who likes the other that bit more....

I bet she did not even go to the cinema... :p

Tell your mate to get a grip...

There a lot of paranoid people on here isn't there? Its all about trust, if you don't trust each other then the relationship is doomed. Does everybody these days just **** everyone when their other half's backs are turned?

You break up with some gorgeous fit person and then start going out with someone on the rebound. Ex asks you to go the pictures, you still have hots for them. More than the credits going up at the end of the movie!

Well if they are all so shallow that this happens at every opportunity then they all deserve what they get. All very sad if this is how relationships are viewed by everyone but does explain the **** starting fights with the obligatory "you lookin at my bird?" on a saturday night if they are all paranoid that the women (who I thought had minds of their own but obviously not) are going to be instantly drawn to others without a second thought.

I would go along on the sly and then txt my mate and tell him I can see them sat together in cinema and does he want to know what I can see? Will wind him up so much he will explode Im guessing.

Wow, i would hate to be in a relationship with pretty much anyone from the majority of this thread.

I TRUST my other half, so why would it bother if she went out with a guy or stayed at their house?
If you have issues with that sort of thing then:

1) You obviously don't trust you OH (begging the question why are you with them)
2) You have some ridiculously low self esteem issues.
3) You are a teenager

In any of the 3 cases (Unless you have a pretty shallow/toolish partner, again begging the question why..) You just need to grow the hell up.
#36
it happens till one of the peoples partners decide not to like it.

then it just causes arguments and they end up breaking up lol
