although they do get quite a lot of things wrong, they also get things right. On Thursday (11/11) it was veteran's day and they know how to treat the armed forces.
Free entry into Seaworld and Busch Gardens.
Free food at Applebees restaurants
Free nights stay at the hotel i was staying in (Quality Inn International)
all schools off as it is a Holiday.

But the other countries dont need to do that as they dont have social guilt for sending the soldiers to fight in pointless wars in the first place!

But yeah its a greater reward for sending their soldiers to fight unwinnable wars than our soliders get, so well done the yanks!

America is great.........million times more polite than here. Also like the fact that people smile at you unlike everyone here looking like someone has just crapped on them.

People actually avoid eye contact here when we pass them in the park (we are not dodgy!) I say 'Morning' and they look at you like you're speaking some foreign language. Over there they insist you have a good day at every possible opportunity.

I agree - America is uniformly great, we are universally miserable. Each person is just as happy/miserable as the next person with no deviation.
