This general election has been very boring quite honestly, i thought it would of been very exciting but it hasnt been, the main problem has been that no one has really said what they are going to do.
They say we will make the NHS better.
We will help the police.
etc etc
they are just so vague.

for me this helps in post below.

The conservatives are going to raise fuel duty when oil prices drop, and cut fuel duty when oil prices rise. Which basically means well be paying £1.40 a litre until the day we die, whereas now, if oil prices drop, fuel prices drop. Ofcourse if you think fuel will constantly go up AND tories keep to their word, vote for them. Not many people trusted them re:coal.

Great idea, a major company in the local area of the school sponsoring the school.

Great to build links in the local communities for employers to connect to the local youth, building respect, apprenticeships, etc... Sounds so simple it is sad it had not been encouraged before...

what sort of companies would sponsor or could afford to sponsor a school?

tescos?
mcdonalds?

these arent apprenticeships we are talking about.

the richest 3000 families in the country are having £200,000 given to them and the top rate of tax for people earning over £150,000 currently 50% is being reduced......who is paying for these tax cuts? well its the poor......same old tories

.................the working class tax credits and child tax credits are being cut......why? so the rich can have their spoils

and you think bringing people that are planning to do this is a good idea?:?

im glad i wont be around:)

The 50% tax is sadly staying.
Someone working and earning 50,000 a year is still entitled to child tax credit????
Why, what a load of wasted time and paperwork processing.... Get rid. Simples...

£20 child allowance per week??? WHY... Do millionaires need this benefit??? NO, but they get it... Just add the £20 to the low earners on less than 20k with child tax credit so they are not worse off, and lose the child allowance department, millions saved...

To be honest, I don't care, but Brown has ruined our country and we need a change. With the voting system, anything other than Labour or Conservatives is a wasted vote, so David it is...

I have to say this really scares me. I'm Just old enough to remember the tories in power last time. I'm not saying labours done a bang up job but I shudder to think what will happen should the torries have a grip on the country. I don't think labour will win this election but the idea of my son having the same kind of memories that I do due to a tory government makes me want to cry.

Jen...

Different party, different leaders, different politics...

Don't worry, don't cry.. xx

People must be very naive if they believe anything the Tories say, their interest is only in their own ilk.

Thatcher killed this country by starting the " dog eat dog " society that we have today.

Both Cameron and Osborne went to Eton, they do not even know what the real world is like.

Sounds great - a bit like a 'sound bite' in fact.
Load of rotten to the core spuds IMO. Businesses/companies/whatever can have apprenticeships. So simple ....... it used to happen absolutely all the time before profit became the only aim and the unions were smashed.
What did we see with 'city academies' - tons of tax payers money ploughed in to projects whuich were supposed to be business sponsored. What else did we see? Crackpot blinking US inspired fundamentalist dogma re evoution and the fight to withstand it by under-fire teachers unions.
I fear you are living in a utopian dream Chiptivo.
