Now I know why I get the feeling that many on HUKD aren't for real!

It's a nice fantasy, but it's just a manifestation of man's innate need to explain everything.

Anyway, I guess they will be claiming that the Brexit vote was a bug...

I've tried steeping forward twice, back twice, sidestepping left, right, left, right, but now I'm not sure how to "press B"...

This theory reminds me of the time, when discussing 'reality' with a work colleague. I told him that we are probably only a part of someone else's dream. For some reason it disturbed him for hours afterwards.

Ive often believed that maybe we are a consequence of an advanced computer program or that our universe is simply inside other universes, while the whole universe seems complex, the fact is we can pretty much explain most things, and we are ever so close to a theory of everything and that seems too easy for something we perceive as complex, the problem I think we have is we can never know, not ever, as anything that would be considered outside our universe or our reality would probably be beyond our comprehension.

In fact I remember reading about 4th dimensional beings, and how they could be living right along side us, they woudl be able to comprehend us and see us etc, but as we can only see in 3 dimensions we can't comprehend of them, it woudl be like 2 dimensional trying to see the 3rd dimension.

After studying metaphysics since 1990 with recognised Yogis and Shamans and spending about 10 thousand hours meditating this is the simplest way I can describe my current understanding of metaphysical matters:

‘Mundane’ reality is akin to a movie and the projector is within us.
So if you want to change your life, your personal drama, you don’t try and grasp and wrestle with the image on the screen but look within and tweak the projector so you get a movie that is more aligned with what you want to experience.
But most of us are so conditioned to the delusional thinking that the movie has a primary influence on us that we get frustrated wrestling with it and settle for a compromised life.
The external movie is important as it reflects back to us what we think and feel and no more.
So whatever the outside dilemma is look within for the answer which means lots of meditation.
Meditation might sound boring but combine it with Tantra and you can have the best sex of your life even if you are in your 40s or 50s.
A truly spiritual life is a blast, a bit like playing a game with the innocence of a child but the experience and awareness of an adult.
Enjoy the trip.

Yes, it's in Calais near the tunnel. The only way to access it is to arrive with an open heart full of compassion and love.

I love this kind of thing. As young as 8 or 9, I remember sitting in class at school and often totally zoning out of what was going on around me for 15-20 minutes. Wondering about stuff that I don't really think is generally associated with that age. Why are we here? How is the human race so totally different and more 'apparently' developed than anything else on Earth or beyond - as far as we know? Yes there are other complex species that people could point to, but nothing so mind-blowing and possibly pointless as the human race. Other animals create their own intricate environments around them, but the excess scale and grotesque nature of what the human race has developed is a complete nonsense, but wonderful and fascinating at the same time. Why are we so different to everything else? Why are we so special? Our interactions. Our creations. Our emotions. Our abilities. The minute detail of human life that takes you from one second to another, one hour to another, one year to another .... and every single moment is critical in shaping the overall journey of yourself and the domino effect on vast swathes of 'life' around you. What is it all about? Why does the universe exist? Does it exist? Beyond basic shelter, why has it been necessary to get to a point where curtains that are perfectly in proportion to the corresponding window, and are colour co-ordinated with other fabrics in the room, are considered a fundamental need for nearly all socio-economic groups in the developed world? It is a complete nonsense, but it is where the journey of the human race has got us to today. Where, or what, is the destination? Do you ever get to find out what it is all about? What happens at the end of each individuals 'life'? My goodness, I hope we get a good explanation of what it has all been about. If we don't I will be writing a very stiff letter to The Times.

I know many elements of the above can be picked out and mocked - it is too easy so don't bother as it doesn't matter. Just compare the life that you have created around you, look around the room that you are in right now, the possessions you have deemed it necessary to acquire at some point in your life, and compare it to any known species that you care to think of. What is so special about being 'human'? How and when was such an amazing anatomy formed? A highly functioning body that magically contains every organ and cell structure required to sustain extraordinary and varied lives for up to 100 years. With the exception of a kidney and maybe the odd bone, everything has a purpose. It is more than evolution, but what is it? What are we?

* Disclaimer. As mentioned, don't bother if you want to mock. I know that would be such an easy reaction if not wired to question what our existence truly is. For the avoidance of doubt, I am not drunk, but trying to stay up for the last Presidential debate. Why have circumstances combined to lead me to spend 10 minutes writing this at this moment, and you choosing to read it in your moment?

Answers on a postcard, please.

No, as love sees no boundaries and has no preconditions so like the inverse of a Nigel Farage.

Well that depends on how you define edgy.
Being fully present in a spiritual sense is very on the edge as you are fully alive and present to the moment.
It’s like being attuned to the wonder of the universe whilst tripping on acid whilst being completely sober and grounded and feeling freshly in love all at the same time.
That’s much better than any computer programme.

Nothing to mock, if we accepted everything for what it was, then the earth would still be flat, and we would be the centre of the universe, I too believe that every time we challenge something that is apparently set in stone, we find and new route, look at Einstein's theory of relativity it snot being considered that its not correct based on quantum physics! 20 years ago you would be called a witch for even thinking it lol.
