Just profited @ Tesco on their 3 for £10 Wine & Half Price Champagne Offer.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased my groceries online at Tesco. As part of the order I purchased three bottles of wine for £10. Part of Tesco's 3 for £10 offer.

Wine arrived and it was vile! Didn't get around to returning it to the store until today. To my shock, the Customer Service assistant scanned all three bottles at their individual price and refunded me for the individual price of all three bottles.

Nice little profit.

She had the delivery receipt in front of her, but the receipt always lists the full price on the order, and only details the promotional discount on the second page.

Not believing my luck, I quickly drove home to collect 3 bottles of Champagne purchased last week online on their Half Price offer. Price should have been £30 a bottle, so I got them £15 each.

I drove back to the store 15 minutes ago with my online delivery receipt, and sure enough all three bottles refunded at £30!!

Nice little profit.

How on earth are their tills allowing this to happen?

Good Luck. :-)

tesco are the biggest thieves in this country

they steal off thousands of people 7 days a week

the onus shouldnt be on the customer to check price is right - they should

[mod]#15
The irony is strong in this thread.............everyone calls him a thief but when a missprice is posted people order and then moan when it doesn't get honoured but if it does how many of you then ring the company and point out their error and offer to pay the proper price?? :)
#16
lol at everybody passing judgement. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone lmao

We've all done stuff like this and you know it ;-)
#17
first time you got lucky, not your fault but you shouldn't be exploiting it again and again, thats not quite right.

and i should remind you, some tesco staff visit these forums ;)
#18

but did you tell anyone:?

and even say you'll do it again and which store?
#20
It's up to Tesco to sort out their returns policy with regards to discounted items. Doesn't really make the guy a thief IMO.

karma will get you in the end m8

Karma? What are you talking about? This is a flaw on Tesco's computer system.

Good Lord, you would've thought I killed a child. :x:x:x

Do they not go through refunds in the office though?

Did you not have to give your name and address for the refund?

Well done on your scam though :santa:

why ? - misprice in tesco a while ago on fresh chickens (lol) i did buy a few - of course had to call manager down - i showed the sperm of the devil manager their printed card with the wrong price - she apologised - next day i went down again - wrong price ticket was on - AGAIN my friend filled her basket - i could only get 2 as my freezer was full
3rd day on the trot i went down - same again - got store manager down and explained - got £20 voucher!!!!!! for pointing it out

Yeah but, my point is, what exactly could you do about it? You know nothing (really) about this poster other than his username on an internet forum. Not exactly gonna get him into trouble, is it?

I'm sure there are hundreds of folk who return items to Tesco in that one store alone, gonna be hard to pin him down...:whistling:
