See if it's still got the screen protector on it.
There should be a way to check if it's been used, although I'm not familiar with the interface. Also I'm pretty sure you can reset the call times anyway.

Personally I'm fussy and would contact them and ask for a sealed one. Especially if you don't have insurance as it could be refurbished, could be, just an idea.

where was it purchased from, i believe some place do open to check contents

also in your calls made it should tell you, but these can be reset anyway

Dont touch the phone.
Ring them and teel them the seal is broken.
Its then up to them to sort it out.
They prob will send a new one out again.

The seal is definitely broken by a person. It looks new but I am not sure I should accept a used/refurbished phone when I paid for it new. A total call time will not get reset even if the phone is reset to default but I have searched for it but can't seem to find any info on get the total call time.

Anyone else purchase a contract phone from mobiles.co.uk? Was the seal broken when you received it?

Dont they have to break the seal to check details such as imei number or sim card ?.

phones normally have imei number on the outside on a sticker...

I'd give them a call and see what they say - at least that way you'll know if it was them who broke the seal or if it was the courier! (fyi - always good to sign for stuff with "unchecked" - to help with things like this - as some places will say it affects any warranty claims that you make thereafter)

Good luck with Cs at mobiles.co.uk Its really bad. I have had a contract from them and seal was not broken. Send it back. Does it say on seal DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL BROKEN? If it does just do as it says.

The IMEI was on the outside box and the sim card wasn't into the box so there isn't really any reason for them to open the seal. But with that said, if it is standard procedure for mobiles.co.uk to open the box to check the contents then I guess I would not make a fuss.

If it was used before, it will go straight back. Right now still trying to figure out how to determine the total call time.

its simple, when i bought my samsung i8910 it clearly said 'if this seal is broken, do not accept the phone'.

My advice, do not accept the phone, say you want a new one and don't take no for an answer.

Hi there,

On any given pallet delivery of phones a certain number are opened both to ensure the phone is in there and to verify that our "What's In The Box" information is up to date (as manufacturers sometimes add or remove things like memory cards and screen cleaners from packaging without telling us). It sounds likely that the phone you have is one of these.

I can assure you that the device is unused, not refurbished etc and of course still 100% covered by the usual warranties.

Check the call manager on the phone,it will have recorded any calls time for received, made phone calls, data usuage, texts sent and received,

Recent call lists etc can be deleted but call manager will still have all the details in memory

To go to call manager first go to call logs,at the bottom of the screen call manager will show, click on it and check it in there

There is an option to reset call times, but there is a code that you can put in that brings up the lifetime calls, that can't be reset. What it is though, i can't remember.

On Sony Ericssons, the Service Menu and Call Time is accessed by * > * < < * < * -(service) - service tests - Total Call Time

*2767*3855# factory resets it,but people dont think to do that, they just delete last calls lists, times, texts etc
