Basically I have some CDR's here that have MP3+G and they play fine on my PC's Karafun program.... The missus is having their work party on Friday and they have an Arbiter K9090 CDA+G type Karaoke machine....

When I try a disk all I get is hissing, I have tried everything to convert the MP3 side to CDA etc, Can anyone help ? I have Nero ATM for burning....

Thanks

You need a program called Power CD+G Burner, It can be downloaded via torrent sites.

It rips and can covert to different formats.

Also it burns CD+G

A lot of programs won't let you burn cd+g

Hiya,
PM Me, I know how to do Karaoke Discs, I have done some in the past. You need a compatable CD Writer for starters...An excellant CD Writer for this task is a Plextor that supports the CDG.

I've used the program in the past, Not really up to scratch with it now to be honest.

Most cd drives are compatible if burning with CD+G burner, So long as your drive supports DAO/96 mode it should work.

As I understand most cd/dvd writers are capable of burning in this mode.

You can create CDG disks with ANY burner (just not by using power CDG). You need to download MP3+G toolz which will modify the MP3+G files in to bin files and then use alcohol 120% to burn the bin files.

Problem is a CD+G disc is actually "Audio + Graphics" Not "MP3 + Graphics" An MP3+G won't work in a standard CD+G player, Although will work in some DVD players.

Bin files won't work in a CD+G player either, Unless Alcohol 120% converts the Bin files to CD+G when burning?

All of the above formats should work on the PC/Laptop via Karafun program or similar Karaoke software.

I'd recommend Virtual DJ for playing music and karaoke.

The bin file is the already converted CDG file created from the original MP3+G files. It will player in any karaoke player and some DVD players. Trust me this works as my Dad has been making them this way for 3 years.

Of course a bin file is like a raw format file, Tells the software how to write to disc which would explain why it works. I assumed it'd write them as a bin file on the disc which wouldn't work.

However I'd still recommend Power CD+G Burner if you get it for free...!!

Can the Bin files be burnt through Nero ? or do I need to install Alcohol which I have somewhere...

Well good news.... Installed MP3+G Toolz, all OK... You then right click on the folder containing your Mp3 +G's and select the MP3Toolz option, Convert Audio and G to bin....

You also get a cue file :) So double click on youe Cue (As long as you have Nero installed)

Write disk to your CDR in drive....

And my 15 tracks are converted to CDA :)

Played 1st time in the Arbiter Karaoke machine.... The missus's work party will be fair chuffed....

Thanks guys for the help...
