Kaspersky 2011 Code - but using a new 2009 code

Is it possible to buy an unused 2009 version of Kaspersky Internet Security, and upgrade to 2011?

Why I ask is that my key runs out in about 90 days or so and I want to keep Kaspersky so would I be able to buy 2009 (or 2010) and use that key as an "upgrade"?

Have had AVG in the past. Won't diss it, but I'm sticking with Kaspersky.

just d/l the new version. Dont install 2009 first. The SN will work on the 2011.

I'm using the 2011 version already, just wondered whether buying an older version code would just be a case of installing the new code to continue the license :)
