That just put me off my dinner(late I know)

Havent seen to many, saw a big web at bottom of stairs going from the bannister to the ceiling(I say big but you know what I mean)

Last week though something stranger, I open window a lot as I have a flatmate who sticks heating on full even when its warm(Which pisses rest of us off as we are paying for the gas and none of us want it on apart from him Im not sure what it is but I think it was a snail, went to close window and wondered why it wouldnt.

I pulled it harder and heard a crunch, saw at side of window a shell and black water oozing out of it and what looked like a shriveled up sticky thing.

I felt awful lol

I rememeber hearing a spider once after a night out. I nearly pissed myself with fright as I was sitting on the floor and it scuttled right past me. I never used to be bothered by spiders until I saw Arachnophobia when I was about 17.

My wife got one of these as a present and they are fantastic.

Dont spiders usually come into your houses more often when it gets colder anyway? Thats what i always thought.

Seen 3 massive ones the other day.

1 was right about my bed! Lucky i bloody seen it, what if it dropped on my face. Ahhh!

And i seen another on the wall whilst watching TV, i decided to leave it there, but i kept a close eye on it. I went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea. Come back and it was gone.

Seen another one walking across our wooden floor, got a ps2 case and squished it!

PS - I was never scared of spiders either, but i am now, dunno why tho.

Funnily enough I was just wondering the same a couple of days ago, I've definitely noticed quite a few more spiders wandering about the house. Can't say they bother me though, it's good to know they're busy cleaning up the insects that I don't want around the house.

I must admit I don't like spidos. 0-60 in under a second lol. Having said that, if I see one I just leave it. Can't see any point in killing it.

Lol, you guys got me scared now!! I haven't noticed too many more spiders recently but I always see a few a week and they have been getting bigger! I'm scared to go into most rooms in my house at night because I don't know why but I'm really scared of spiders, more than anything else!! Those pics in this thread were terrifying! I don't like killing spiders so it is hard to get rid of them but I don't like them being in the house, they're evil things!! :p
#23

Can you actually quantify a spider as good or evil? They just exist and survive in their alien manner. By the way there are something like 180,000 spiders to every human on the planet. Random bit of info to help with the nightmares ;-)

spiders come into homes becuse of warmth , some homes will be too dry for them so once humidity is up in homes they will come marching in , spiders kill and eat all the nastys around the home that can harm us so to kill a spider is doing someone no favours at all , oddly spiders have muscle memory so when you see them scuttle across the carpet they can retrace these steps without thinking about it hence seeing them in the same places all the time , real good idea not to kill them though , they do more good than they could ever do bad

pictures 9 and 10 are photoshop i recon , looks like a fish eye lens took the pic to me

We have had huge spiders lately and I HATE them!

Dont mind any other insect but really hate spiders. I get rid of other insects for mum and she gets the spiders!

I was finding the large spindly ones all over the flat a few weeks ago. They've been evicted for jumping out when I least expect it.

There's been one just above the shower for over a week, but as I always know where it is i'm happy to let it stay. It doesn't like being intentionally splashed by me every morning but seems content :)

Edit: Hang on... Here's a picture of it
