I would probably object if this was another club, but screw it, if they take us over and hand Hodgson the £150 Million transfer kitty being rumored then they are welcome lol

who cares, hopefully they won't get paid and the contracts will be that you live as long as you win, otherwise its public execution, sweet.

I have to agree, it would be nice to get that much to spend but it wont happen, would be suprised if Huang takes us over since the americans want to make stupid profits

They won't make much profit, Banks in the states are getting peeved about the debts now and have told H&G they have limited time.

Haung won't get it so is going round ( I hope). I think it will be done and dusted whoever by next Friday, was rumours of talk over months ago to happen tomorrow, not holding my breath.

I dont think they will make any profit, but they are greedy bastards and will do their best to make as much as they can at the sacrifice of the clubs future. The sooner the better, hopefully we will be able to sign some players with new investment this transfer window.

We're currently paying about £3.5 million per month in interest payments on the loan.... just wiping out the debt will free up about £40 million a year which would be a nice starting transfer fund.... they wouldn't need to give us any more on top of that imo.

If they can come in, pay off the debt and fund the new stadium I'd be delighted.

Interestingly, CIC have just sold off $500m or so worth of shares in Morgan Stanley....the exact same amount needed to purchase the club :)

thing is even if Roy is handed a decent transfer budget, what top players are available this year? Fabregas only has eyes for one club, can't see many other top players up for sale

Defour, Aguero, Ozil, etc etc. Plenty of potential buys.

if we need a left back, a striker, and a holding midfielder, and had the money to go for anyone I'd go for Lahm, Cambiasso and Ibrahimovic - all three of those would be open to leaving their current clubs imo.

My thoughts too. There isnt much available, Dzeko and Dani Alves are the two i can think of that are rumored to be considering leaving, but i cant see us luring them to the club, but then again they are being linked with city.

I just hope that if we ar egien big transfer funds etc. that we dont pay over the odds on transfers and wages like cit have done.

Maybe, but I think Roy wants an English core of players, I was thinking the other day that if the take over did go through that I wouldnt be surprised if Milner was signed, checked the odds and it was 20/1

left back: Insua isnt going anywhere and Aurelio re-signed, not sure if he'll get anyone else in now

If weve got money to spend though, its an area that needs attention. I just cant see player like lahm leaving for clubs that arent in the champions league unless we were to pay ridiculous wages and i dont want us to become a club that does that.

In the present circumstances no, but if funds where there, and better players available then I bet he would.

What happened with the Figueroa deal? I thought it was a done deal apart from the medical?

All newspaper talk I've heard, is he that good a player? Never really seen him play.

Gona get to the ground nice and early tonight, looking forward to the beginning of a new regime under Roy

His Manager came out this morning and said he was flattered his players were being linked but they arn't going anywhere.

I think interest was probably lost once A&I re-signed.

He's a better defensively than Insua, and good going forward. If Fabio can keep fit (don't hold out much hope..... but who knows with our new medical team??) I'd have him as first choice ahead of Insua.

Yeah should be a good atmosphere tonight, and looks like it will be a decent line-up too (although will probably be treated like another warm-up game given the score from the first leg).
