plenty of leads on ebay for about 2 quid, just search for kettle lead and you'll see hundreds of the same thing, that's what you need.
#9
Are they all the same power? or do they vary.

Is it a clover leaf style kettle lead or a normal desktop pc type kettle lead that you need?

Power

* 12V DC, 3A

You just need a adapter to convert it to a UK plug, the volt range suits the UK voltage!
#15
My mate bought a convertor for his xbox, it started to spark internally and started spewing smoke, alotta smoke!

Dont want the same to happen!
#16
You do not need a converter though as the voltage is OK for the UK, you just need and adapter.
The lead itself does not change the voltage, the fuse in the plug does that so you just need to ensure that the fuse in the adapter is correct.

It's a standard computer power lead, probably a couple of quid from any pc shop.

Ah cool, so its just the a standard (kettle) lead, so if i plug this into it , it wont fry it, right?.
#19
That's right. No need to worry. The power adapter itself can cope with the uk voltage it's just that the lead that connects the adapter to the socket is an american one. Just follow the advice above and get yourself a lead and you're away, no worries.

I've never heard anything so stupid and dangerous.
How on earth is a fuse going to change the voltage?
