Kid's Favourite Chart Songs?

Bit of an odd one here, but I am organising a play list for my daughter's party and was wondering if the people with children aged between 4-6 could offer some pearls of wisdom as to what they like bopping along to at the moment?
Things like Gangnam style, Pharrell etc
Thank you! :0)

Bit of One Direction perhaps.

Yep, had thought of that. Just not sure on what song. Was thinking 'live while we're young' as it's got a good beat for them to jump up and down to (which is pretty much the general standard of 'dancing') ;)

Check out the latest 'Now' album for ideas, or the current top 40.

Kids of that age will dance to anything anyway.

LOL, been there and done that, but not much that I deem worthy! Just wondered if I could get some parent's opinions on their kids' favourite songs at the moment.

That's great. Thank you :)

+1 on the latest Now album.

I'd avoid some of them, and definitely use the originals rather than the crap cover versions.

speaking from experience miikey?

have tried looking a few times on youtube etc for popular songs but often they have 'bad swears' in them, even the ones labelled 'clean' !

Took the kids to a panto at Xmas and they played that one... But yea, I had this same issue last year! Thankfully no party this year!

Well, I have a small list now, but definitely still looking for more ideas!

Better than having New Direction there.

(Don't read that sentence quickly)

Got 12 so far. Still looking for a few more! :)

Does anybody else have any ideas?
Got the above (general mix of one direction, carly rae jepsen etc) Just think I may have missed a gem or two?!

If you want party game music (playing in the background whilst you pass the wrap, or hunt the sausage, or whatever "the kidz" do these days at parties)...

You could go a bit "old school" with these:

"Witch Doctor" by Cartoons [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNAr5tzZxdk ]
"The Time Warp"... probably the version by Damian will be most suitable [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gti_D7jx7cM ]
"The Wheels On The Bus" by Mad'Donna (with, or without, the apostrophe) [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsRPTy-TtF4 ]

Other suggestions...

"Get This Party Started" by Pink
"Girls Just Want To Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper

Perhaps seeing what you have in the playlist may inspire others to offer further choices.

I was going to suggest "Let It Go" earlier, but couldn't decide which was the best version! :)

Doubt you'd be able to hear it over the chorus of tiny folk so probably doesn't really matter :D

Ah... thanks, I meant to ask if any boys were invited.

How about some superhero theme tunes (like "The Batman Theme", or the theme to original "Spider-man" cartoon series, or similar)?

Yes, I know girls can like superheroes too, but if girls have a monopoly on "Frozen", boys can make a claim on superheroes! :)
