Have been thinking HSM theme - my daughter said she wants to play party games she just told me. Not sure 2 hours of games though!

time flies honestly, with food too there wont be time for too many games

pass parcel, musical statues are easy, my nephew had a pinata, that was popular, the bung on some pop music and let them wear themselves out

My daughters 8th birthday was last week. They did each others make up, bashed a pinata shaped like a high heel, played its my birthday on the wii, played singstar on the playstation and had a disco, it was a great success

Edit - by disco i mean a cheap disco ball and a cd on the stereo in my front room, not a proper one! I bought a party pack of neon light up bracelets and necklaces in a local shop for less than 2 quid and they loved them

i have a boy of 8 so not that sure what girls are into of that age (well i've got 6 years till that happens!) but you could get some cheap beads of ebay and let them make their own necklaces, bangles ect at that age you could just leave them to it!!

We have a disco ball so that would be a good idea. Also, do you know any karoke games for the wii? I think that would be a good idea

this is what i do for my two girls on their birthdays and never fails

i use my conservatory (or a different room if you don't have one) and move all the furniture out the way. turn out the lights, turn on the disco ball and some music so they can have a disco, i always blow up lots of balloons which they love to pop and throw around. i do a cheap buffett of the usual sausage rolls, crisps and sandwhiches etc, and instead of a cake i do a chocolate fountain which all their little party guests love - just make sure you protect the floor around it, chocolate always seems to go everywhere!

good luck and hope it all goes well!!

You don't need it big, just tell them to bring sleeping bags and let have the lounge. girly films, snacks, they will love it. lol
