passport ofice are a bit more lenient with infants so dont worry-our 3 year old had hers done recently-she is smiling from ear to ear(which they dont allow for adults) and her head is kinda side on a bit,not exactly centred in the pic cos she was jumping around but passport office were ok with it.

Of course they were. Kids having to have their own passport makes them millions of pounds per year.

lol yip my DS didnt like the photographer and screamed for the duration! so he looks very upset in his photo, with a bright red face, but they accepted it anyway, so dont worry too much

Got my son's taken there and it was fine, he was about 3 then too.

You could take it yourself? Plain wall and bit of post editing?

Take her to jessops, they take them in there, might be easier than a booth.

Chloroform.

The OP is asking for advice on how to get her child picture taken for a passport.. not how to kill him! :o

Its ridiculous, all those rules and by the time you get the passport back the child looks nothing like the photo anymore anyway!

lol I'm just about to send off for my 3 year olds, I had her photos taken when she was about 18months old then forgot to do it, so I'm going to use those. She hasn't changed much, except for longer hair!

yep my little girl had a head of dark hair in hers think she was about 7 months old, she is 4 now and has blonde hair, she looks nothing like her photo, she could be anyones child that I will be leaving the country with in 2 weeks, I really dont understand the point of them, perhaps if they left it until the child was 5, as they wont change as much after that, but going from a baby to a child, a big difference

And get one of the staff to explain how f numbers and depth of field work

Your child will fall into a trance-like state.

Sorted.
