Most cinema chains were going to boycott the movie in any respect, due to death threats made against the potential customers.

PS. "Crackers", not "Hackers".

Is there any actual evidence that North Korea are formally behind all this?

They said they 'believe' it is, but no not undeniable proof, and if there was they would not tell you, this is a country that executes people by feeding them to dogs whilst alive, if they can ignore that they will damn well ignore any actual evidence it is them :)

Sony deserved this.....u cant make a film like that....if a film was made against killing Obama you would probably be charged with terrorism offenses and for conspiracy of an assassination....yet doing it to your opposition is totally fine..the US needs a kick up the backside.

NK is a sad and pathetic country. I watched a few documentaries on the place, by journalists sneaking in etc.

It's run like a theme park, with fake this and fake that everywhere to give the illusion that places are busy when they're really not. Everything is a façade, and it's fascinating to look into.

I feel so sorry for the residents, though. They are lied to and truly believe NK to be some superpower and not the weak and pathetic place that it really is. Kinda sad, really.

I watched that, was fascinating that you got given a house closer to the hub the more loyal you are, of course one could argue our politicians are not much different

they don't call it the Westminster bubble for nothing

Very few would be brave enough to go on record to announce this:

That would be a 'career'-ending move.

I think its funny that murica is so damn insensitive to do this movie in the first place, but then again its sony, originally a subsidiary of the Japanese victory company, its a conspiracy!

Anyway the tories have been moaning about the bbc going to air a book about killing thatcher on the radio, sensitivity about our own right there, its insulting and arrogant to make movies about killing a current leader especially one with whom there are tensions its just goading, serves em right they should have more respect and show some tact. Might have less troubles in the world then.

I'd love to see a Kim Jong-Un death scene in every movie, even if it's irrelevant to the plot. Let's hope it catches on and becomes the next 'Wilhelm scream'

Agreed its odd, I am sure their lawyers must have made clear the dangers of not using fictional names etc.

I'm probably the only person who finds the idea of 'Kim Jong-Deux' funny.

When you think about it, the films that have gone before such as hot shots 2 and team America which would probably bethe nearest to this, they ddon't actually target anyone everyone in those films on both sides are morons, its slapstick, without seeing this one it just seems different from the adverts it seems there is one target, taking the pee out of north korea they really shouldn't have made the film or considered the advertising better if that isn't the case.

Bush was President when this British movie was made and no-one was charged with 'terrorism offenses'.
