I have been looking for a plasma/LCD for about 3 weeks now with a budget of £800. I bought one at Tribal but by the time my request for buy now pay later (might as well it's 0% interest and I get to keep my money a little longer) had been processed which was a day, they were out of stock so I would have to wait a week.
I did want an LCD originally but for 42" it costs about £100 more than a comparative plasma. While waiting for my tv to come back in stock I carry on looking for the best deal just in case and found my dream tv only it is LCD and costs £900 :x any who, I keep looking and find this:http://www.electrical-deals.co.uk/ServiceCareSite/pages/product/product.asp?prod=42PF7621D&ppcseid=2745&ppcsekeyword=Philips+42Pf7621D&mmtmt=3&mmtgglcnt=0&mmtctg=265448007&mmtcmp=3347607http://www.electrical-deals.co.uk/ServiceCareSite/pages/product/product.asp?prod=42PF7621D&ppcseid=2745&ppcsekeyword=Philips+42Pf7621D&mmtmt=3&mmtgglcnt=0&mmtctg=265448007&mmtcmp=3347607
I know it's refurbished but it carries the full year warrenty and it was repaired by Philips so I think, why not? So I book marked it and carried on my search and one link led me to Ebay where my dream telly was being auctioned and I had 2 minutes to get it for under £700. It hadn't gone over the reserve so I placed a bit and clicked to talk to the guy on skype, he told me there were 24 people watching the auction and by the time my page had refreshed from my bid the auction had ended and I had lost ... Gutted!!
The guy that was selling it sent me an email after getting my email from skype offering me the same tv as he had another to sell, so I said yes and bought it from him for £680 and I am going to pick it up on Monday.
Just now I looked at the auction I had won and if you click the link below you might realise why it was a crazy but true story:
The guy I bought the TV was the refurb store and got it for £105 less than I would have bought it in the shop :w00t:
This kind of luck never happens to me and I had to tell someone so here I am.
