Kitchen worktop

Looking at replacing the kitchen worktops, would love to have a gloss black finish, I think I've ruled out laminate, would love granite but I think the price might get a bit silly, been looking at solid surface worktops but I'm slightly put off by the reviews saying the darks show up scratches, I will need about 9 meters, any suggestions which would suit a fairly busy kitchen with young kids. Rough price guide would be helpful as well.

We had quartz worktop, quite a minimalist look, we thought some granites were far too old fashioned and gave a farmhouse look, quartz is fairly expensive , our cost £2,600 for about 7 metres with double sized breakfast bar, sink cut out and hob cut out

We did look a quartz and it's my favourite so far, was that price an all in price( supply, template & fit) where did you get it from and do you have end panels fitted to help with the support.

We have loved at the black sparkle in the quartz which is really nice, what is your worktop made from and how long have you had it fitted and what's it like for scratching.

we bought ours thro Magnets, they used a firm from near retford but you should have a Magnet near to you, we nearly went foe the sparkly black but are so pleased we didn't because you see it every where now and I think it will soon look dated , all templates and fitting included

didnt get the Jewsons one as my kitchen needed the light onyx, although I loved the black, went to Howdens in the end and paid £350 for two lengths and a breakfast bar, but still loved the black sparkly, it just would not have suited, was advised it scratches the same as all other worktops but the only difference is you can see it more with black, I guess that is the same for most things black
