Hi guys, going to get a kitten or two soon, cant wait.

Been to the Derby RSPCA, and offer 9 month old kittens for £65 each which is great considering they are wormed, trained and nutured and soforth, plus i'd rather rehome a kitten from them. then buy on from the paper etc.

I'v got kitten fever and want one now but they have not got any, but it is kitten season. so looking forward to it.

Got a litter tray and a few toyts so far

Awww, i got 1 about 18 months ago n they're just SOOOO sweet and SOOOO funny when they start jumpin around n chasing toys.
What's NOT so funny is when they start running up your curtains or clawing/scratchin your leather sofa and for whatever reason do their "business" on the floor/carpet!!
Just make sure you've thought of "both sides of the coin" :)

Oh and if you do get 1, make sure you take loadsa piccies.
I've got some great ones of mine and they grow up SOOOO quick!!

We get ours from the Cats Protection League. You don't have to pay anything if you can't afford it, but we usually give about £25-30 per cat. They're just happy that the cats/kittens are going to a good home (they will do a home check before letting anyone have a cat). They are also flea'd, wormed etc.

We've got four at the moment and pick the 5th up on Friday - can't wait!

what a great thing you're doing. I agree, take LOADS of photos cos, like kids, they grow up soooper fast!

Don't grab hold of it too much, I've found if you want a cuddly cat in later life, give it its space and it will come to you. As a child I used to grab hold of my cat, Max, and repeatedly plonk him down on my knee for a cuddle. I could never understand why he ran off! Phoebe on the other hand, had her own space but loved coming to sit on your knee.

Each cat has its own personality and you will soon see whether yours is a rascal or not!

I completely agree with you going to RSPCA or CPL, but i dont think I could choose one out of the bunch-I'd feel terrible for leaving the others behind! I'd take a 3rd party with you who can pick which one looks nice and aware, but relaxed, maybe playful and pretty.

my cat a house cat!!!!has just had a litter....of 3...she was booked to get neutered and got out when the joiners were fitting a new kitchen...i have been inundated with people wanting one of them ...which is a good thing because it shows there are not as many kittens being born as there used to be....she will be at the vets as soon as they are weaned...awwwwwwwww but they are cute and im being very fussy about who gets one.

ok guys, just saw a abandoned kitten in my garden, yesterday, came back today and its still their so i have took it in.

Very wild and aggressive but now it is relaxed (ish), here hoping to tame it. I think its around 8 weeks or 10 by the size of it. still going to get a kitten from the rspca or CP though.
