I always feel guilty about not helping others enough so thought I might knit a few scarves for the homeless, but obviously if theres just me they wont get many so thought i might start a website asking for either scarf donations or knitted blocks which can be sewn together, but im not sure if its legal to do so or how to set it up, so though id ask if anyone has any ideas?

I think contacting the salvation army would be a good idea as they do the soup kitchens, with it coming up to winter they do hand out extra blankets so probably could do with the help! Good on you, great idea, i would be willing to help (my squares arent always squares though)

hi jasmine
i lost a little boy when i went into premature labour 4 years ago
we werent prepared at all as it was totally unexpected, after the birth we were given a memory box with a disposable camera and knitted cardigan and hat etc for my son to wear,i was so greatful for them and he was burried in the knitted items
here is the link to the lady who thought up these boxes,i met her not so long ago as she lives near us
we had another son shortly after and we named him joshua lee (joshua after the ladys son and lee after our son)
here is link :)

sorry to hear that edjaned, thats why do charity work for bliss, I myself was born 8 week early and my sister 12 so its a charity that I hold dear, its a shame that posts advertising a fundraising event for said charity was pulled last week because it was "self promotion"

I also lost a baby a few years back and wasnt able to get pregnant again, although I know im lucky to have a family already I would find it too painful knitting baby items, but the people who do knit for Bliss do a great job.
