I know it's a long shot but...

Does anyone have a DLink NAS DNS 320. I'm trying to find a suitable hard drive to use inside. I already have 1TB WD Caviar Green but I need another so I can have a raid 1 setup. I've asked on multiple places and had no replies :( the difficulty in selecting drives is that I need to avoid 4k sectors as the Dlink has difficulty reading the advanced format.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ahh they look great and a good price, at last there's light at the end Of the NAS tunnel!
So are WD drives best to be boycotted for this model? Last question, that price is that the usual price as I only want one drive for now but will need another soonish.

I don't know much about drives, I only choose those as it was what others recommended. They've been around that price for a while now.

Scan and Ebuyer sometimes do them cheaper but there grey imports and you don't get the 3 year samsung warranty.

I'm going buy what people have said in posts/reviews where they've tried to register the warranty on the Samsung website. I think you will find that the HD204UI/Z4 Z4 at the end means it will have no warranty with Samsung.

Unless you can show me different.

I don't care either way as mine have 3 year Samsung warranty. Would rather deal with Amazon for a few quid more than shady Scan.

OK i have just been told by a Dlink Technical Engineer this information:

"DNS-320 fully supports 4K drives. You are not required to buy a 512byte drive."

Any ideas people?
