Ladies, opinions on hair colour. Or men of course :)

Basically I am looking for a change, I am not one to be frightened of home hair colouring either as I am quite brave.
Now basically anyone who is a (natural) blonde will know the colour can be quite dirty, as in appearance, :p before anyone says anything, and the colour is just a mish mash and quite flat. Unless you are really lucky, my hair looks like dirty sand.
Now I have been dark brown before, which was hideous as I am fair skinned, with reasonably light eyebrows.
I then went pillar box red which was amazing, but high maintenance.
I fancy a change, and no I can't ask the hubby as he will say stay natural, but my hair colour is sooooooooo dull.
Rep for help as ever x

I remember seeing your pics in the sexiest member thread and your hair looked nice.
Why not just get some blonde highlights to make it blonder .... very nice for the summer and you'll look even sexier with a nice tan :)

i think jet black hair with red highlights would look so good, or if you dnt like dark colour koz of your skin you can go chestnut brown/blonde

i have exactly the same problem i often end up with a different shade of brown, red or ginger every month theres some shampoo and conditioner in the 99p store for both for red hair and it keeps the colour bright until my roots need doing, i'll have a look at the brand name when i can move my head

Ya reckon, a coppery brown, gingery type? See I reckon women can look nice with ginger hair, especially with brown eyes, goes well!
I am not afraid of ginger! :-D

I love gingers, me :)

I reckon they are sexy, and reckon you could pull it off ;-)

the darker shade to provide a closer match with your eyes I would say :)

Yeah that's what I would think too, I will rep people later for their ideas, I have used too much:oops:

lol - at least you dish it out though

I've got that dirty blonde looking hair too.

I get foils, but whereas I used to go blonder - which was nice - I now add dark brown streaks to it - in a subtle way (not thick streaks all over - but nicely blended in).

If you do go blond all over - I think you need to have another colour at the back underneath or something - depending on your hairstyle. I love either dark brown or pink with blondes, and sometimes blue works nicely too.

Do post a picture when you eventually do it -

Lifes too short not to experiment with your hair! :)

ah you could pull off that sexy zombie look so well lol
#17
yay.. do really really blonde highlights, chunks all through ure hair or something, my sister did something similar a while back with different tones...so still looked natural - just really brightens the hair.

I get so bored of my dull brown hair, so understand.. im sure whatever you do it shall look great. so good luck.

My husband NEVER likes my hair when I've

"Just stepped out of a Salon"

So I just think sod him now! (I love him really)

I think most of us blokes would just say it looks nice (even if we think it doesn't) just to not get the earache of disagreeing lol
#22
tinkerbell28
Yeah your right, hence why I won't ask hubbies opinion, he won't want me nagging, so I will do it here instead :w00t:

I mean just get it done, then post the pics - we'll give you the nice feedback

Thanks, yeah I am thinking, of really going "blonde" to brighten it, hair colours are just such a big change aren't they?

ha yes they can be, like u ive been brave before.. but currently playing it safe. I dyed by hair what was meant to be a simple reddy brown colour the other day, left it on for rather a long time and its now v v dark n more purple than red tones...ah well :p
