Whatever you do, cheap 'compatible' batteries or chargers aren't the way to go - they tend to be ridiculously dangerous.

Edit -
http://www.askdirect.co.uk/Laptops-and-Computers/Laptop-Accessories/Battery-Packs-and-Power-Adaptors/sc1509/p1455.aspx - this would fit your laptop. The only concern is that the description initially states that it's original, then it's not clear if it is or not. All the models listed on that page take the PA3534U-1BRS battery, so if you type that model into Google you should get somewhere.

It looks like Amazon have the cheapest official one at - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Original-PA3534U-1BRS-Battery-Toshiba/dp/B002UV03JA

About forty quid - no chance on the warranty.

Normally manufacturer call them as consumables they are usually covered for 6 months......I would buy any compatible ones from ebay..I used the OEM ones previously they are almost the same quality...

If you want a dangerous battery ask Sony, they had to replace 100'000's of them because they were catching fire

The difference being that Sony are forced to recall the battery and pay compensation if you're injured. The bloke on eBay probably isn't going to do that for you.

I had my Dell battery replaced after 11 months no problem.

Give them a ring or use the online help.
