Have you checked it's not just a fuse first before you ask? If it's not then definately contact them.

if you dont ask you dont get but think you can get new chargers cheaply on flea bay

if they're UK based, I would

I bought a replacement laptop charger off ebay and the item was located in "London". Little did I realise the seller was Chinese so when it broke, it was going to cost too much to send back.

ebay really need to close that loophole.... they can set the item location to UK so it shows up on ebay uk but when you click on the seller's profile it shows that they're registered in China. Takes an age to find a real UK seller for electrical items...

New fuse worked for like 2 seconds!

yes you should ask but I think they will ask you to return it and then decide if they will repair or replace it, even worse they will see what the what the laptop company says.
The best advice I can offer is buy a new one whilst you are waiting. . . I have two spare charges for each of my Laptop and net book, so if and when a charges fails I will have a spare one ( the same goes for my cameras ) it's not an item you can buy on a Saturday night or over the holidays plus they always fail when you go when you use them

Sounds like it could by your battery try taking the battery out , although I did have a Avent ? laptop which would not work without a battery fitted. I now have a Lenovo which will work without the battery I must see if my acer Netbook does the same if not its a spare battery for the accer

Have taken the battery out & put it back in, but I don't think it's that. The charger normally gets slightly 'warm' but it's stone cold. Have emailed the seller.
