I am after a laptop and not really bothered about webcam, bluetooth or battery life as it will nearly always be plugged in so just looking for the biggest bang for my buck. These are what I have seen so far

Advice would be appreciated.

I also saw this but can in be true that this does not have wifi? I can't find a proper review anywhere.

Thanks in advance

I would only consider the Medion because it's the only one with Windows 7. The others are old stock and are certain to be discounted heavily in the New Year when Vista laptops become virtually unsaleable. Personally, I wouldn't buy a Medion but that's purely personal choice. I think you could probably do better at that price.

I notice the first and third ones have Vista on them, the second has Windows 7

The third is made by Phillips and I was not even aware Phillips made laptops (it could well be another companies laptop badged by them). I would steer clear of this one.

You cannot always trust these "tick lists" on web sites.

Like the poster above, I am not overly impressed with any of these.

try and go for a recognised brand......

worthwhile paying extra if you are not able to fix yourself if something goes wrong

dell, sony, hp, toshiba

as suggested for someone else try argos clearance on ebay....12 month warranty on refurbs

Do you really think it was ever £599?

Beware of PC World "price cuts"

This was a £399 laptop selling at £399.

Here is a Dell with almost exactly the same specs for £429 so the HP was not such a great bargain.

it appears you have about £350 to spend, well you can get this for £350.55 after using code review5 and a further £10 3% backfrom quidco, costing you £340 net and no offence it will wipe the floor with the 3 other laptops you suggested. some ppl may say it has a poor graphics card but its good enought and if you not using it for gaming then its ok for everything else
